they have a version of kinder eggs in the US, they just dont put the toy / inedible stuff inside the food here.

there isn't a whole lot of demand for putting objects inside food that you can't also safely eat here (that aren't needed to hold the food). kinda been the law for like 100 years.

Though, they're not banned in the us because of a choking hazard. They're banned because they are inedible and dont serve a purpose necessary for the food. Toys and trinkets hidden inside just dont fall within any definition of necessary.
