State of the Game

this weekend - actually today, we have saturday already, would have been the beer tasting event with beer from indie and hobby brewers of Tassie - we got on the list and could get tickets for it. But now we got a lockdown for 3 days, because a teenager escaped from a quarantine hotel and was out and about for 18 hours start of this week, meeting friends and so - then when caught he lied about his whereabouts and so not all contacts could be tracked and isolated in time - as a result of it we got a total lockdown for 3 days, until they can get this done - so far we have no case of community transmission, but that teenager tested positive with the delta variant (he came from victoria, so not a case of community transmission here) - so there will be no beer tasting event today due to this stupid guy.

Can you petition for him to be shot? Or at least dropped in the outback, 500 miles from anything apart from a cow.

What an ender that kid is.

heh, getting all kinds of concert emails now... i guess that's all coming back. by the time our Nightwish show comes here in May of 2022, we'll have had purchased those tickets just under 2 years ahead of seeing the show. Quite a delay. definitely a poor use of the money since it not only moved venue (with no adjustment of ticket cost) but they've been making interest off hundreds of dollars for the entire time. but gotta see nightwish when they're in town.
My nightwish-fan mate at work has banned me from saying hamster in a nightwish style:

Never heard of them before now. I find their sound to be acceptable. Thanks!

If he's ruined a beer festival he should be given a lifetime beer ban.
A fate worse than a shark tank for an aussie.

i get the feeling that you dont get the reference ...and unlike some 30 year old british local show.. anchorman is required human cultural viewing.

It wasn't the reference - it was the thought of you with anything called sexpanther that caused the vomit.

you could be an aussie too - someone said, we should just drop him in the shark tank instead to quarantine him - but then again, he is a teenager, not an adult.

Drop him with teenage sharks then, problem solved! ;)

My gif game is strong but I have to hold many in reserve in case of a doomsday scenario so I just hit you lot with a few oh myyyys or whatever other crap I can find in my gif archives.

Covid is a lethal weapon, he should be tried as an adult! Stupidity can only be an acceptable excuse so far...
I always tell my children/grandchildren, especially the boys, "You are free to do anything for which you are willing to accept the consequences, whether you know about the consequences beforehand or not." and then I ask them "Are you willing to accept the, known or otherwise, consequences of your proposed actions?"

Hopefully they keep this with them for the rest of their lives...
