ED 4096x2160 _ Monitor 3840x2160
Yes,
Thanks, put the resolution on an equal footing (3840x2160), now everything works. Great! Is there any other way to solve the problem?

The "virtual" change in resolution affects other screens - not restricted to StatusDisplay - Windows does the same when I run a fullscreen benchmark at a non-native resolution.

Is there a reason for running E: D at a non-standard resolution?

One way to work around this issue would be to place and size the StatusDisplay once windows while the game is running and save the settings. Then use "ALT-L" to reload StatusDisplay settings while both game and the app are running - hopefully this will put the app windows back to where they should be.

Hi Robert,
first of all, very good job!

I'm already using the Windows exe-file with an additional, old 15" monitor.
Unfortunatly I'm lake of space so the screen is monted vertically.
Becaus of that just one Cougar MFD can be pluged to the monitor.
I would like to take one of my Raspberry to use the second Cougar MFD.
Unfortunately StatusDisplay.exe cannot be run under Linux using WINE.
Any thoughts?

Your help will be most appreciate!

Michael

Unfortunately I have no plans to develop a Linux version of the app.

Some users have found that the spacedesk app can display StatusDisplay output on other devices.

Supper tool! Runs without errors!
Is there a way to create or change custom text buttons / texts?
Is there a display / status or instrument for artificial horizon? I always get stuck flying out of The Coriolis station.

There is not yet any custom text functionality. What are you looking for?

Ship / SRV attitude is not published by the game so an artificial horizon would not work.

Hello Robert, I have already built two screens for two MFDs. But I want to use all four MFDs. Is there a way to place the MFD on top of each other and to show or hide it using a key combination or MFD switch?

Which bits are you wanting to change?

Presumably the peripheral buttons would stay the same - as they would be bound to game buttons.

If only the centre requires to change then it could be turned in to a multi-panel - which would allow up to eight different user selectable display options in the centre of each MFD.

You are right, the MFD buttons are tied to game. I imagined that far too simply. Then I will probably only have two MFDs.:) Thanks for very quick reply. Very good tool!(y)(y)(y) thank you

Well no prob.
Thanks!
I've managed to re-use an old Windows-PC.
So everything is fine.

Unfortunately I'm struggeling with another setting.
I'm not able to display the "remaining jumps to destination".
I'm using P.057 mRemaining but it's just displaing "Remaining - no destination set" while the journal is counting down the remaing jumps.
Please could you support?

Thanks a lot
Michael

Glad to hear that you got it working.

Ah. That panel relates to the StatusDisplay navigation system - and doesn't use the published "jumps remaining" information.

I'll add a new panel for "Journal Jumps Remaining".

Hi......me again....sorry ;-)
How can I change the description of the "Corner-Buttons" ?
I took the decision to omit corner button setting at a very early stage in the project - mainly because each corner is a two button "button" and two options would require more text than could fit in an already very small space.

To change it now will require reworking the settings file and internal MFD button assignment structures - and work out how to display two buttons' worth of text in such a small area. However that's no reason not to consider the change. :)

Which bindings would you want to assign to the corner buttons? Knowing that may help with coming up with a display solution.

Hello Robert, it would be nice if you could make all the button names editable. You can use it to abbreviate many long names and also the names in the corners.

That's ultimately possible - but would require a significant rework of button handling so goes on the "long term aim" list.

At this time I consider adding a "short form" to button descriptions (where possible....) and adding the eight corner buttons to the app to be an achievable short term aim.

I've had another look at the .ini file and there's "space" for corner button assignments to be added - I intend to re-use the same method I used when increasing the MFD centre grid from 4x5 to 6x6 elements, modified to suit, so users won't have face the situation where an old .ini file is incompatible with the newer version of the app.

Images or icons are also very popular. So like here on picture for example. My first attempts :)
