I'm 7kly out from the bubble doing exobiology, every system is a first discovery, every planet is a first footfall, every organic with a first discovery bonus. Can't wait to see what this is all worth when I get back (perversely I'm getting a thrill from the ever increasing weight of knowing how much I have to lose from dying out here and am going to avoid fleet carriers and cash it all in in one big load when I get back).
Anyway ... I'm also trying out
Elite Observatory and one of the great things is that it will call out (via text to speach) "unusual" bodies that you've scanned with the FSS. Today I went to a moon "orbiting close to a ring", something I would have completely missed without this tool and wow was it worth it!
The problem I now face is that I REALLY want to race the SRV across that crater ... but if I die ... arghhhh, all that data!
Decisions decisions.
