Strange sounds coming from my Anaconda

Source: https://youtu.be/ckUW1kM0DhA

I don't know if it's encoded message or just a bug, but either way I've decided I should record it before "solving" it by restarting my game.
I can hear this occasionally when I drop out of SC or retract my hardpoints, but on the station it seem to happen each time I do the latter.
The pattern repeats itself 3 times and is coming from somewhere behind main panel.

Before you ask:
  • No, my ship is at 100% integrity
  • No, my powerplant is at 80% capacity
  • No, I don't have alien related cargo in my holds (or any for that matter)
  • I haven't been hyperdicted or did any alien combat
  • (apart from visiting both guardian and thargoid planet structures once during my expedition)
  • My DxDiag showed no issues detected with my soundboard
  • I could hear it on both my front speakers and headphones
Thanks in advance to anyone who can confirm it is indeed a sound bug or decode it to find something useful

Outfitting has been bugged since beta, they tried fixing it in the last update. Most people just have the outfitting sounds playing until a game restart.

That's the ambient background noise you get having landed and used a outfitters and once you've come out of it it mutes and then is just a slight noise till you leave the station/carrier.
It was a huge bug and the fdevs fixed it recently. So I'm surprised to hear it again... I could be mistaken but does sound the same.
You'd leave the station and it's still going on loudly.
Drives you nuts!

This particular sound, which happens occationally for me too, far pre-dates the Fleet Carrier stuff.

The Fleet Carriers sounds bug(s) was similar, but they are not this I'm sure.

OP, do you have an nVidia card? What sound card / chipset vendor is producing your sounds?

I believe these sounds may be caused by more complex combination of one or more of the Windows OS, the graphics card and possibly the sound card in this case.

I added a clarification in my video and just now to the post - I can hear it outside of station and outfitting screen, sometimes when I drop out of SC or retract my hardpoints.

With these sounds, I'm not sure it's as simple as just going to the outfitters like the other sound bug was. I believe this one is a bit harder to produce consistently, thought I'd like to be wrong one that.

OP, are you saying the sound is spacial for you in that the position of the sound will move for you depending on where you turn your head/camera? I didn't think it was for me.

If you take closer look at the video, I move my head around left and right, and the sound moves between my left and right ear as well, that's why I could pinpoint it coming from somewhere behind map holo panel.

Oh wow, nice! Well that kinda proves it's in the game I think. Now we just have to list the steps to reproduce it!
It has random appearance every now and then. Last time I heard something similar was week ago and I didn't pay that much attention to it.
This time it was really loud and clear and made me question what was that, so I recorded 2 copies of it just in case.

Can anyone try to run it through app that was used to audioscreen Thargoid probes?
Perhaps it has something useful, though I'm nowhere near experienced in this topic.

Oh yeah, it does kind of have a raxxla beet to it!

The issue is related to ships passing through Witch Space.

There have been incidents where ships lose power or hit a wrinkle in the fabric of the time/space continuum and are unable to exit the "tunnel".

What you are hearing are the death-throe "echoes" of those trapped ships as they break apart. These signals can be picked up by ship instrumentation when passing through the general vicinity where the trapped ships met their end.

Due to the laws governing the conservation of energy, these trapped pockets of ship "remains" are of long duration and can be detected, but they are random in their manifestation.

A minute of silence for the lost souls.;)
