Completely. Grind is a choice in ED. I have experienced very few bugs and as I am not obsessed with credits per hour, I find the in-game tools perfectly acceptable.

I don't deny that. I just think in a game lore sense, having those huge ships is not realistic in ED for solo players to have. Having them as mobile guild homes I think could have been great.Then you haven't realised yet how much fun they are (erm.. can be) for solo players and how big the lobby of solo players actually is - just not that vocal as the common MMO crowd (me excluded), mainly because they/we tend not to be organized. I can see their footprints all over the forum though, while FDev can measure the true numbers by telemetry analyses.
I have nothing against personal fleet carriers, but I think they should have been substantially smaller with much limited space for your own ships (like four ships max, 2 small, 1 medium and 1 large pad and that's all you can fit on there). Have them treated like ships instead of stations as well too so they don't clog up the system map.
Agreed on the subject. To me the Engineers update was the death of the game.

I suppose you have been suspected of being a Frontier employee on several occasions, haven't you? I've received that compliment several times already. But I'm still waiting for my pay-check.
Sometimes I can get pretty toxic with the game, but that doesn't stop these neurotics from crawling out of their holes and throwing this tosh at me.
Scary how the world is turning more and more into Zombie Town. So be careful with thoughtless expressions of positivity - it can get pretty hairy these days...
I've been accused of being a secret dev four or five times now I think, always makes me laugh. Once by a guy who was threatening to "get close to my family" he stopped after I told him he was my official stalker.
You know sometimes I think people might just take the spaceship game overly seriously.

I would actually like to try to play an alt account like that.
The only thing I've ever done in elite is combat and PvP. The only reason I grind is for more and better PvP ships.
Would be nice to start an alt to experience the more calm side of Elite that you some of guys rave about all the time.

You need a second account on PC, no idea about consoles. You don't need to install twice you can change login.
Oh ok, that's what I thought.
Bear in mind that two ED accounts on the same Windows login will share the journal file - so if you're using that for any tracking and want to keep accounts separate, the easy way is to use a different Windows login for each ED account.
