Thargoid invasion - Next target systems?

There was a recent mention of Alert systems perhaps having increased strength, but not confirmed.
Confirmed for unpopulated Alerts. Col 285 Sector BA-P c6-16 at 21.6Ly took 312, Col 285 Sector JW-M c7-10 at 17.37Ly took 792, Hyades Sector EB-N b7-0 at 14.38 ly took 1600.

We think 30Ly is nearer 300, 20ly is now 400 and 15ly is now 1000. That' an unquestionable increase since before the change 25ly was only 267.

It would certainly explain why the Alerts last week took until Wednesday to clear, rather than sooner as the cycle before that was.

True, though there were also just more of them - last week was 17 Inhabited (the highest since mid July) + 19 Uninhabited = 38 (the highest since early June)

That wouldn't have mattered if the targets hadn't been raised as well. In fact the more uninhabited, and especially between 20-30ly, the better, as they only took 250-300 each, 3 runs in a sample ship, one run with 3 of us on a signal, so doing 25 wasn't much more work than doing 20.

Victories in Hyades Sectors EB-N b7-0 and PN-T c3-7, and Col 285 Sectors KW-M c7-16 and OR-B b14-4! Probably one more group of passengers would complete HIP 20485, and we have excellent progress at HR 2204. That need only continue as it is, let alone see an increase as is usual for a weekend, and we will be able to assure its completion!

Thank you! That now matches Control systems on the far end beyond 30 Ly, though it is at least still much, much lower than Control further in.

If sampling was really meant to be the intended way to win the war, the rescue ships would have had their economies fixed to pay a decent amount of money for them instead of offering a pittance.

Research samples are one intended way to win though, and Rescue megaships pay said pittance despite that:

That leaves M. Leigong with only one attack, which cannot be prevented for the moment while the Thargoid site at Arietis Sector MX-U c2-19 is present. HIP 20056 is moving gradually and likely will be done within an hour or two.

The drive at HR 2204 slowed quite suspiciously, perhaps due to many of those Commanders attending the Elite Community Meet; we pushed it up to the 33% surplus threshold to encourage contributions, and it seems to have enjoyed already a further 10% or so. We will boost it daily with completion this week in mind, such that all further activity there for the remainder of the week is very welcome!

Very well done both with the delivery for HIP 7338 and to those pilots at HR 2204; our boost-deliveries for the latter accounted for around 30% in the end, meaning presumably that a good 10000 strength was met via combat with a gap over the weekend and a day to spare. I presume everyone has moved to Montioch given its ~9% activity; unfortunately at almost 30000 total strength that will need a joint operation with early harvesting to support it!

Meanwhile, note that HIP 20616 has reached the surplus threshold; it should be likely to enjoy ongoing activity next week if not adopted and finished this evening.

At just prior to the end of the week, that becomes seventy-one systems; approximately, this has now halved the spread of Thargoid presence since its peak some months ago.

Well done again to all at HR 2204 earlier; even without much communication here, I am quite happy that a few modest deliveries kept the main drive going well. I can see that most moved over to Montioch and perhaps a few to HIP 30502; despite its high strength, I can say that if 10–11% in one day at Montioch can be duplicated across a full week, that is a brilliant achievement and indeed makes Montioch suitable for supporting for a completion! Narrowly, it would also replace Omumba as the new strongest recapture.

System strength statement

310 units delivered for Col 285 Sector OM-J b10-0 has completed it versus an estimated 308.3; it should be fine to proceed with any deliveries. The actual progress became 100.9049%, yielding a projected strength of 307.2, such that Control system strengths appear to be unchanged.

Additionally, 410 units delivered for HIP 9709 became 13.6673% with projected strength 2999.9 as before.

Operation Redacted

Everything is as expected thus far; HIP 9016 seems to be enjoying the usual respite interval, and HIP 9709 is due for eviction. Timeline:

Njorog under alert… that one ought to be interesting to observe. I guess both for alert difficulty at that distance and if it makes it to the invasion stage.

Whether it gets cleared at the Alert stage or not, it will keep getting put into Alert every two weeks because the Control causing it cannot be cleared.
