Thargoid invasion - Next target systems?

If you just rely on those bonds you have already, you might turn out to have earned them more than 7 days before it dies, and so not get credit for the kill. Best to earn some more this weekend.

No I mean I got those today, I did another 40m last week.

9 Controls and at Very High (Question Mark)

I dunno then. Maybe this is the meaning of the “Titans other than Taranis won’t go down so easily” line Frontier threw at us.

But if I’m not reading your post right… do point it out. So I can understand what you’re saying - my brain is pretty much about to shut down for the night, and so could be working less than well.

Peeking at the Cephei Sector XO-A b3 Spire site, that looks like an amazing progress storm—already one-fifth, after not quite 24 hours yet!

We've seen control only systems at 9 multiple times at high. 🤷

Multiple times? T. Taranis rose from eight to nine systems as shown in the Thargoid War Information after update 18, but that number includes Invasions (although not Alerts); it was actually 6 Control rising to 7, Moderate to High.

T. Leigong showed 16 which was 14 Control and 2 Invasion; this dropped to 10 Control with some inner Alerts becoming Control, then dropped to 3 Control. T. Oya has been 17, 7, 9 all as Control, so I think this must be the first ever occurrence of 9 Control.

That description truly is a terrible distraction, though! I think it has yet to depart from theory-land only due to lack of data to refute the possibility that the description bands actually do decide the resistance, although in practice it will remain the only thing many Commanders see even if refuted several times over in favour of the simple number of Control systems being the resistance.

I can start working on that tonight. I just got home from work late so slow start. BTW, scythe sampling got so much better with the SCO drives. No issue travelling to Combat Aftermath 4 anymore

Was any amount stored for Col 285 Sector JW-M c7-10 in the end? No worries if not; we had a late start today and a slight plan reordering to get Vasupari up onto the progress list for the leadership effect that has, and the reason for asking is just to avoid possible overcompletion from attacking Col 285 Sector JW-M c7-10 on Friday evening!

As a general mention for anyone, Scout samples from Col 285 Sector JW-M c7-10 are still sought by INV. Wrath of Winter at Col 285 Sector JW-M c7-11 for 500000 credits each.

The first is for Scout samples from Col 285 Sector JW-M c7-10 with carrier INV. Wrath of Winter H2V-L3V at Col 285 Sector JW-M c7-11 buying for 500000 credits each.

The order is for 4000; the actual strength should be 4855, although notably @Captain-MD may also be tormenting a Scythe in that system.
Indeed, I'm about to offload 952 Scythe samples. We're still getting a rhythm together on Battle-Buddy Scythe sampling but SCO is making it much easier for the hauler to return to the sampler VIA Navlock.

Mostly for @Captain-MD, a little note—we are driving Col 285 Sector JW-M c7-10 to completion this evening, so there will be around a couple of hours to deliver anything outstanding!

As an aside, either:
  • More than 952 Scythe samples were delivered, potentially by another Commander, or—
  • Scythe samples are now worth double Scout samples, despite being found relatively recently not to be the case, or—
  • The 15–20 Ly strength line is completely wrong. One Scout delivery performed as expected.
We shall discover!

Please, by all means, let me know if Scythes are that good. In the meantime, I'm ready to take Hadad's next targets.

57.6% for that final Spire at Cephei Sector XO-A b3 is most impressive in exceeding a quarter daily, and at that rate I think delivery-time will arrive later today!

Able to visit Col 285 Sector WN-Z b14-1 with 3484 strength? Its next attack will be HR 2138, although it has some very close and asteroid-free parking with a smaller star at Col 285 Sector WN-Z b14-3. If you can manage a similar delivery, that should give a second opinion regarding Scythe samples depending on whether ~1000 causes one-third or two-thirds.

INV. Light of Achenar KLZ-54L is also parked at Col 285 Sector WN-Z b14-3 and buying Scout samples for 555555 each, intended for Col 285 Sector WN-Z b14-1 above, and then Col 285 Sector WN-Z b14-0 with 6214 strength.

I imagine people are quite eager to make sure the Titan doesn’t get to misbehave again. Perhaps the addition of the overcharge FSD also supports faster clearance by cutting down on travel times and/or Thargoid interdictions(due to lesser time taken to reach the target).

In any case, Oya will probably not survive the following week/cycle, unless it has an instant control recapture trick up its sleeve… which I doubt since that would actually just be a dirty one from Frontier, unlike the alert spam of last week(putting aside the few inner uninhabited alerts).

Or just straight up loads of us.

My contacts list since Thursday is kind of epic...

That's a no-go on increased Scythe Sample power based on the following:
COL 285 Sector WN-Z B14-1
3484 strength estimated
Work = 99 Scythe Samples + 1 Scout kill
WarProgress 0.00 starting at 15:29
~0.028415 expected from samples
0.028965 final
Looks within normal values to me. But that's why we science.
