Thargoid invasion - Next target systems?

Once again, it is my understanding that these FSDs are not SСO (According to the specs, it's the same old V1 factory-modified FSD). And we're not here to kill anyone, we're here to get a sticker.
It does say,

“All participants will receive a SCO-enabled FSD, pre-engineered with Increased Range and Fast Boot Sequence and unlocked experimentals.”

Which is a bit wordy but basically, you will get SCO-capable FSDs with fast boot and increased range engineering applied, plus the ability to add an experimental effect.

Strange I was reading this carefully in the game yesterday and didn't see the word SСO there, I'll look again tonight.

Sounds good. I participated, even though getting to the titan is a pain in the butt.

Sorry my disbelief, but can we see a screenshoot of this piece of text from the game? Or can someone else do it?

Thanks.

If no one does until then I'll give it a look when I log on 'tomorrow' (which is going to be today afternoon, really).
Thank you. I will do it today in 10-12 hours, I have a suspicion that I have it written that way since I'm not playing the English version.
Just like I can't select the ALD Power on the galaxy map.

It's TEMPTING to assume that these would all be Class A drives, but it doesn't say that. Regardless I expect these will be the best FSDs in the game for the time being, limited by the fact you only get one of each size.

Exactly. It's the same double engineering they did to the Sirius drives but with an SCO drive instead.

Unless they are E rated versions they would certainly have the same jump range as the regular pre-engineered FSD (without SCO). Better if A rated. I would favor either C or A rated between the coolest running of the drives in overcharge (C) or having the most speed and least control interference (A).

I suppose some would make the point of B rated for the additional fuel efficiency even if its thermal load is second worst only beaten by the E rated SCO drive.

We'll choose B just for its durability.
Not sure about this. While I’m not in game to double check this myself the EDSY stats suggest the integrity (I assume that’s what you mean with durability) of B rated is 110 for a class 5 SCO FSD, the same as C and D versions. While A rated is 120, and E is 95.

So they seem to disobey more than just one rule known of previous module classification.

Hmm. You're right, I was referring to the old FSD, there was nothing wrong with it. Surprisingly, it's done differently on the SCOs. Maybe it's a mistake?

D jumps less because it's lighter.
Why B doesn't weigh more than C is a mystery to me.

Many patterns are different with the SCO FSDs from Achilles; the B-rated module mass is just the first of many strange-looking numbers! That said, it is not the first time we have seen equal B-rated mass, given my favourite B-rated Collector limpets.

The Optimised mass and Jump fuel increase more smoothly with the original Sirius FSDs:
  • Optimised mass is smooth with Sirius, whereas Achilles increases sharply from E–D and slightly from B–A.
  • Jump fuel increases moderately from C–A with Sirius, and Achilles increases are as with its Optimised mass, very sharp between E–D.
They look like this:

FSD Jump Fuel.png

The Achilles jump fuel increases are so sharp for D-rated that it looks as if the E-rated amount belongs to the previous class, but seeing those alongside the more sensible Optimised mass increases above, I think it is intentional. The major difference between ratings D–B for Achilles FSDs is the SCO performance; C reduces SCO heat and B reduces SCO fuel rate!

Went to do some injured Evacs from Mars.
Managed to get 130 after a few coloured snakes and jump to Luytens.
CTD on drop to the rescue ship and after landing found all the missions gone, the pods count as stolen and the black market is greyed out... 😳🤷❔

Update; Decided to check if Cornwallis had a working black market, first jump out I get messages and the missions have reappeared. The pods are legal again and I turned back to Luytens. Unloading now...

Yeah, I've also noticed a temporaly(?) degradation of the mission servers (lags) about an hour or two ago

I need a cheap low-engineering bomber build for my Alt (no access to Shin), any ideas? ^^

I'd been doing the same evacs from Mars yesterday evening. All worked fine until I got to Lyutens drop-off rescue ship. The only problem is people pad-hogging. After a 20-minute wait I dropped to solo and had no delay issues. BTW, no ganking issues at the rescue ship, just didn't want to wait for 20-30 minutes.

You would think FD would have made them more like a fleet carrier but with all full-size landing pads. But that's just me.
