Thargoid invasion - Next target systems?

I have noted that the number of critically wounded offered in missions, or "cargo" (using the term loosely since it IS human), is also dependent upon the state of the port of call. I have easily filled my hold with those missions when the port was damaged. When under attack, the numbers were dramatically lower so I could not fill my cargo hold well before accepting the maximum allowable number of missions (20). *

It is definitely the case that the state of ports-of-call matter as well as the state of the system.

Fly safe, CMDRs!

* I reported this a couple of times. Here's one:

EDIT: critically or otherwise wounded,

EDIT 2:
Moments ago I stopped at Dietz Terminal in the Ebisu System. This port appears to be in a normal state, however the system is under attack. The missions for wounded are offering very low numbers, so it's not just the state of the port-of-call. Now I'd have to find out whether it's just the state of the system or if the state of the port-of-call matters. I can't remember those details from previous travels.

Victory in 63 Eridani! Yet more major progress in those top few Invasion systems, bringing the total well over 400% after almost three days, and the Chinas system joins the fight.

Watching System chat while close to completion, I see many Commanders interpreting the white chevron as being complete when it reaches the end, when actually it represents one unit of progress missing (98%). I added some images of this, in both the complete and incomplete states, as a note regarding how to see the difference.

Speaking of the progress view and its specific text, I cannot help but imagine that the Recovery in HIP 23716 is a bad idea to complete, or rather a bad idea to expend effort on it. It looks like this:

Recovery10.png

Last cycle, repelling the Alert in HIP 20485 has left it as if it were any other normal populated system, in the Human Controlled state, effectively freed from the war flowchart. In both its text and its colour-coding, HIP 23716 is communicating that exactly the same would happen if completed, and also that it will happen anyway after some time. The gain here can only be to get its ports online more quickly, at the heavy cost of not directing all of that effort elsewhere.

It does not matter much whether a new Alert ends up in HIP 23716 or not, nor whether being in Recovery prevents that or not; either way, the Recovery is effort expended which ultimately does not actually oppose the enemy—unless anyone knows a clear reason to complete it.

FYI, HIP 23716, it should be noted that anyone wanting to help with repairs at either of the two Outpost stations there will have their hands full. There are a number of missions that require two or three thousand units of several items. A single python would take a month to get that much stuff out to them. This would require a multitude of pythons carrying as much cargo as possible.

This might be a good job for a fleet carrier to go scarf up a bunch of things they need and then bring it to HIP 23716 and then have the pythons deliver it from the fleet carrier. This will require wings. There are a number of those kinds of huge missions at WAKATA (Forever!) Station as well.

Tried HIP 20527 Alert – 14% but did not like it at all, waited and waited around for Scouts but nothing, seems all I could do was evacuate passengers and wounded missions to rescue ship 7 jumps away.
Now preferring Obamumbo Invasion – 18% and fighting scouts in Krait Phantom as I am loving the EAXMC Turretted (3-4 secs per Scout) and then, when I'm out of Decon Limpets, cause you cant get more Limpets at stations there, take on the Evacuate Passengers and Wounded missions (occupied pods) to Rescue Ship.
Then when had enough of that change to my T9 for Copper to CG Enhanced AX Project: AX Multi-Cannon Gimballed as I fancy these to be released before the Missile Racks in the other CG (tried Missile racks and they were biowaste).

Victory in Awara! Everyone remaining by M. Taranis is headed to Imeut (30%), though note that Lahua (40%) over by M. Oya is actually ahead. Either way though, we are at over 500% combined Invasion progress after a bit more than three* days, so both of those and some others should all be taken this cycle. If we get a surge on Sunday evening, we are looking potentially at ten* systems defended.

Top targets as of 16:20 18th December 3308 are:
Lahua Invasion – 40%
Imeut Invasion – 30%
Obamumbo Invasion – 20%
Muruidooges Invasion – 20%
HIP 20527 Alert – 14%
HIP 23716 Recovery – 12%
Mapon Invasion – 10%
HIP 8525 Invasion – 10%

Yeah was hoping to do some cargo hauling to HIP 23716 for chill gameplay and help the war effort, but looking at the mission pay-outs I don't think I will bother. Seems a tad mean to me even though I am Allied with most of the factions. Hey Ho.

Invasion total is at over 600%, if a little scattered; I think we are still on-course for around ten systems defended. Eleven is surely possible, though at that point many may see the upcoming reset and prefer to stand down. Lahua (46%) is doing well, though Imeut (40%) has the advantage of being by M. Taranis, so likely will finish first.

On the Alert front, HIP 20527 (16%) is getting some moderate attention, and Luggerates has just joined.

In the Ebisu System, the Thargoid War Information display shows that recovery begins in 3 days. Does this essentially mean that the system is on hold for a while, that missions being done don't really help at the moment?

What kind of missions or activities move the bar most or are otherwise the best use of time? I have a FC, ax ships and tons of cr so can do pretty much anything just wondering what matters the most to the war effort. o7

Regarding Hip 23716;
Are cmdrs transporting to the repairing ports or just selling stuff at Wakata?
I brought what my python could carry (currently cargo space for 192 tons of anything since I have a shield generator and fuel scoop installed) to both Wolf and Knight. The problem is that if you check the mission boards there, they have needs for over 2000 units of a number of items. A wing can be up to 4, correct? Unless you have wings of 10 pythons bringing lots of these things in, those four players are going to be pretty much stuck doing just one mission for an entire day.

I'm bringing the cutter out there that has 700 tons of cargo space to Wakata (forever). Both Wakata and Farkas Oasis (ground station) are "under repair" and require amounts that require large ships in wings.

The big question: Should we concentrate on the large stations with large ships? I believe the marker will move based on number of resources brought into the system, rather than the individual stations, but there's no data (that I know of) that can verify this.

I guess we'll find out.
