Should have tried reading the posts rather than scrolling through them. If they had bothered then a better understanding would have resulted.
I quoted Burke's post, not yours.
Maybe the bugs have finally reached the forum as well.![]()
Yamiks has the best name for it i heard![]()
Whilst I’m here, why the avatar of Jesus Reconstruction, Burke? Been puzzling me for ages, that has!
I want it allI wonder if fdev put out the gaffa-tape patch just to distract people from this ADS resurrection?Possible
They also look at the other sort of feedback. It's right there in front of you, where your eye is deep shut.
Agree. From the beginning I felt the FSS gave me some more "immersion" to the game. I had to do some activity to get the information I wanted. The only changes I'd like to see is:When you go to a completely unexplored system, you have no idea where any of the planets are until you use the FSS. They do not come up as unexplored after a honk, there is literally nothing in the nav panel to point your ship at and fly to.
Personally I much prefer the FSS over the ADS. I prefer to actually do some gameplay to find the planets in game rather then press a button for 5 seconds. But we all have our preferences.
If you go into a system that someone else has discovered, then all the planets after a honk will show up as unexplored.
....... I can honk, look at the system map for interesting planets and fly over to scan them from nearby.
So why do some folks want the ADS back so much when it's still there? I honestly don't get it.
The thing that the FSS detractors keep banging on about, is that with the new setup in an unexplored system, you actually need to do some exploring rather than press a button for a few seconds. Oh, woe!

This game loves a 3.
Or rather, travel endless LS to scan each planet/moon individually. In Each. And. Every. System."Exploring"... while sitting on our arx at system entry. Such exploration...
Kindly explain how you - yes, you personally - would have implemented it better.
But how? As separate modules? How would that be implemented? As soon as you have a god mode for exploration (which is what the old ADS was) you negate the need to do actual exploring.I would have left both ways in the game and let the player enjoy which ever they chose.
