PvP The Git Gud Guide to Trading in Open (or just surviving in general)

Isn't the point that this is supposed to be helpful & educational? Look at the sticky threads in any other section. Are they 'fun' to read?

Compare this to Moxen Wolf's FA-off guides.

What are you talking about?
It's not like those are mutually exclusive, hahahaha...
Rinzler's video is very helpful and educational.
It is well known to be so.

That said...

Moxen Wolf's vid #1:

Posted for 351 days
40,045 views
40,045/351 = ~114.1 views/day

Rinzler's guide:

Posted for 486 days
70,060 views
70,060/486 = ~144.2 views/day

Are there any other objective comparisons you'd like to make?

Fairs fair, yours had nothing to do with mine. You are looking for this to become a sticky, right? That's the point of this thread isn't it?

Hahahaha!
No, I was pointing out your poor reasoning.
I was specifically addressing your post.

You said you wanted to compare the vids.
So I did that too.

LOL

I think maybe you misunderstood what aspect of the two vids I was comparing. Do you recall the reason Brett gave for this not being made a sticky?

They do ;)

And the traffic in this section is pretty low, looking at the last thread on the first page right now it was from mid-April so there is a silver lining :D

you post a lot in here, lets meet up and blow up some sheildless traders, what do you say?

Is killing easy targets the requirement for posting here? I was wondering ;)

Maybe that's why there is so little motivation to get this thread stickied.

They already said it's not going to happen.
That is just another non sequitur on your part.

Why are you being so dishonest?

The bold is a bald faced lie.

Why are you being so dishonest?

You give up and accept your fate so easily? This is not a trait I would expect of a combatant.

What makes you think I am being dishonest? A specific quote would probably help.

Also, that's not giving up just because I don't think it's going to happen.
They said so, and I believe them.
It's already in Alec's thread, lol.

I am just being reasonable and am not really concerned about it.
You should try it some time.

I think you are confusing opinion with evidence here. Perhaps you should block me.

No, I directly addressed your points.
It's in "black and white".
Stop lying please.

I also can't address your nonsense if I block you.
I am being entirely consistent after all.
This is the problem as I see it:

It's unfortunate that aspiring players need to seek places other than the official forums for combat advice, due to the "signal to noise ratio" here.

You are objectively part of that problem with your blatant lies and obfuscation.

I like these staged Videos which fundamentally hold okay advice - but always miss out or blank out a few things that can and will very easily happen most of the time.

Take 1
T+0s : Interdiction detected, submitting
T+1s : FSD Fail, Interdiction lost (oh look, some of the old Script-hacks still work)
T+41s : Nope, unsurprisingly your T7 didn't survive long enough to jump out

*cut*

Take 2
T+0s : Interdiction detected, submitting
T+5s : complete, normal space
T+9s : Warning, Shield breach attack.
T+10s : Shields offline (How are your 500 Shield Points fare against Double-Frags or Engineered PP Weapons? Actually not at all but kudos for trying)
T+19s : Eject, Eject (1x Frage reload + 1 ram is all it takes)

*cut*

Take 3
T+0s : Interdiction detected, submitting
T+5s : complete, normal space
T+9s : Warning, Thermal attack (intrepid T7 CMDR is now in the left Panel selecting an Egress Destination)
T+11s : Frameshift Drive charging
T+15s : Shields offline
T+16s : FSD offline, rebooting (*yay* for Yuri Grom Missiles)
T+20s : Hull Integrity critical
T+23s : Eject, Eject

*cut*

Take 4 (This HAS to work, right?)

T+0s : Interdiction detected, submitting
T+5s : complete, normal space
T+6s : oh look, 1v3
T+9s : Egress System set
T+10s : Shields offline (ramming attack, didn't see it coming due to being in the left Panel)
T+10s : Frameshift Drive charging (intrepid CMDR Chaffs & Afterburns like crazy)
T+12s : Warning, Corrosion Attack
T+13s : Warning, taking heat damage
T+15s : Warning, incoming Missiles
T+18s : Thrusters offline, Frameshift canceled (T7's Thrusters don't like being hit with barrages of Packhounds)
T+26s : Warning, Hull Integrity Critical
T+29s : Eject, Eject

*cut*

Take 5

T+83s : arrival at Station.... Luckily, noone cared or was too busy elsewhere to interdict our intrepid T7 CMDR. This is when the T7 CMDR will survive. Notably, regardless of Ship build. Happens quite often but needs a little luck.

PS.
Against PvP beginners and non-Ganker/Meta Ships, an Engineered T7 will probably do just fine alot of times. It's not a bad rig. But if the attackers know what they're doing, there's very little chance to escape or survive.
Engineers and the PowerPlay perks designed to specifically make sure of that will work in the best way they do. They'll simply make sure of that.

Still, even a few rebuys can be extremely valuable. Nothing beats having real-life data on survival times against certain PvP Ships or the effects of getting hit by certain Weapons/PP Weapons and Engineer specials.
That's very useful info.
