Well I for one am happy to hear it will run on my imaginary rig!!
I think it should be targeted between high and Low end Graphics. So it Affects more people. Let the people on high end have fun and let the low end computer be able to play it.
Hate to say it tricky I think your topic might cause more (epeen wars) then the other tread.
Also More Hardware tread are proving my point. We need a hardware forum. So it can talk about Graphics card, PC, 32 bit 64 bit and so on.
You mean... the Raspberry i?
Target high-end, provide scaling to accommodate low-end.
Read the OP and my second post. Even if it does end up as an epeen war it has served it's purpose. To get the community to talk/flame.![]()
Based on the gaps between previous release dates, there will probably be a new Direct X before ED is released, so a whole new batch of graphics cards will be needed (Although I can't find out anything about what will be in DirectX 12).I believe the devs have already said the game will be using direct x 11.1 so the game is going to be high end gfx wise.
Given there will be people wanting to playing ED on everything from a work laptop (poor graphics card, low memory, slow harddisk, etc) to very high end desktop, Frontier need to be able to do something very scalable but with out giving one group much of an unfair advantage.
I'm heading back to PC gaming as well. It's the stick and carrot. The carrot of a lovely Elite experience, and the stick of the Xbox One.
I'll put the money for a new games console towards getting a better system.
