If you got it from the Russian site it my be corrupted, sorryI had lots of bother trying to download thing from there.
my unzippers all say its incomplete or corrupted.
nope, GL Frontier is based on atari FE2, so it's a complete different game to FFE at all.
but you can do most what is possible with buffet with a "game genie" (i.e. gamewiz32) or a hex-editor that allows to open and edit process memory (i.e. tiny hexer).
i've done a lot with that for PC-FE2
further you can perform many cheats using the save game editor,
it exists one for both, FFE and FE2 (only PC, atari or amiga savegames are not compatible).

Pioneer has had a new Alpha release with lots of bug fixes and the big news, a Mac OS X port is now available.

Pioneer Alpha 10 released
Nice. Checking it (Pioneer A10) Now! -------> Alpha 9 would often crash my Linux box :-(
I also have just downloaded oolite (Never tried it before - But should have!)
Last elite I dabbled with was Elite:New Kind {Since taken down......?} But it felt too dated.
However I find oolite to be great. I have setup the HyperRadio and am enjoying it!
I even went so far as to buy a Logitec 3d Flight Stick to play it with. (Fairly cheap so was ok).

Try to gather as much info as you can on the problem and report it at the SSC. There is a thread for this and the devs need to hear about these problems so that they can fix it for future releases. In the meantime try one of the earlier versions and see how you get on

No rings on Gas giants in pioneer ?
Hi,
I just wondered why Saturn has no rings around it in pioneer.....
I have been flying around the solar system, taking in the sights, and though I might take a trip to Saturn, to see its all inspiring sights.
When I got there, I was mortified to see that all its rings had been taken away from it
So I made a jump to Sirius, only to find that was ring less too. lol
What go on?
I have also not been encountered by any pirates yet???
It's very quite out there boys and girls....
