no, thats not correct usage in this context. This is a toast - 'To' is what your toasting , like "to the bride's health" etc.

I think there is a debate for it either way. We have no context as to what the toast was for.

How do we know that it wasn't said before they travelled?

I'm not saying that FD have people sitting at a computer making changes every time a new bit of information comes out to suit the FD galaxy. I do however find it interesting that systems from the previous games were compressed into a similar area in the spatial region. Not saying anything other than just that. However, they are keen on keeping the simulation updated as much as humanly possible, if only for the reasons of making them looking good in the gaming press and scientific journals for the simulation they have going.

I haven't come in to this blind either. I have been playing Elite for a long time. Still have a copy of Elite on the Spectrum, and Fronter on the ST.

Im the kind of person that thinks outside the box. If that's a problem, then so be it.

Don't google it, look at it in game.

Which planet in Tau Ceti changed its name within the games lore?

Taylor Colony

Are we agreed that the game is accurate to star systems around us? So therefore real world data has been used and can be considered canon to the development of the universe in the game?
Mmm, not totally convinced on this point. DB is IRL interested in astronomy, & he has said (David Braben Gamescon 2016, m.youtube.com/watch?v=wQaK-j1n8co) at 3:30 minutes “Scientific accuracy is really important to me”.

FD did feed IRL star catalogues into Stellar Forge when populating the ED galaxy, though this has led to some errors within game due to inaccuracies/contradictions in those catalogues, e.g duplicate stars, sometimes with different names but at only a light year or two separation etc. I found, and reported, a duplicate system out in IC1805- same name, different bodies, dont think it was ever corrected. The major contradictory point is LAWD 26, where the second star (actually the one you jump onto) is a Wolf-Rayet star. Now WR are massive stars and exceedingly bright. The nearest WR IRL is Gamma Velorum (reputed home of the Guardians) which is at 1096 ly from Sol but “is one of the brightest stars in the night sky, and contains by far the closest and brightest Wolf–Rayet star” (Wikipedia).

At 26ly from Sol the WR in LAWD 26 should be the brightest thing in the sky, day or night. This is a glaring inconsistency which has not been explained, in lore or anything else. I’ve explored that system several times but never found anything leading to Raxxla, or anywhere else. Talk about “you have to make some of it a tiny little bit obvious” (Michael Brookes, DJTruthsayer [TIQ] Michael Brookes Lore interview 14May2016

A nice series of episodes, some good writing and voice acting, nice to find these things. I do appreciate the work by FD to put some narrative back into the game.

However effectively these like prior narratives are just part of a drawn out drip fed, episodic, community treasure-hunt narrative, there’s no real additional gameplay nor optional content unless your collectively involved. You can simply wait it out and read it on the Forums.

There is no way of actually ‘solving’ that particular story, eg to make and then test assessments, not until the chapters are released and inserted by FD, who have confirmed that’s how they release such content - you could be sat in that system 2 days prior and see nothing, until FD flip that switch, in that respect it’s not actually a ‘mystery’ more like an episodic cliff-hanger….which could go anywhere.

I’m not gripping, just somewhat disappointed FD are reliant on such methods to engage players rather than developing more complex in game mission / npc algorithms, it’s a little lazy and more about PR and galvanising a community, it’s short lived and reliant on FD putting in the effort episodically over a protracted time; I’d rather they work on the original concepts they proposed at kickstarter, that sounded like a fun, engaging game!

What’s going to happen next? Tune in next week kids to find out!

Drip fed entertainment... I guess this is Arthur’s influence, cos there was bug*** all before these “storylines” started to happen. Well, at least nothing since the Unknown Artefacts (aka Thargoid Sensors) started to appear. I occasionally wonder if this is why MB left; as an author he must have been appalled at the way the narrative is handled.

Edit: and I see Chancellor Blaine is saying the Empress will return to public life soon; so TDW have grown another clone? 😉

I whished that we could get what old religions TDW follows, since they are quite many old religions and that creates quite big flow of solutions...

Todays journey makes you realise how many degraded emissions people have passed that could be or could be clues Raxxla as they have been in the game since release

Sorry that was an incomplete post. I just wanted to note the similarities between the artistic design of her in this image and the dark wheels logo.

Also would like to submit the goddess EOS for examination in relations to the mysteries of raxxla. They're are numerous connections I believe in be mythology.
