She discovered the first pulsars.
The pulsars are not strictly other galaxies. The first one is IN Milky Way (LGM-1).

They aren't, but they play a role in the formation of stars and galaxies, thus why she could be considered the "mother of galaxies". Pulsars could also be related to the siren, as they were the first radio signals we received, including the famous LGM-1 (Little Green Men) which was thought to be an alien transmission at first (and also exists in ED). I personally think it's either Milky Way or Andromeda. If it's the Milky Way then Sol could be the jewel burning on its brow or could be one of the stars near Andromeda on the night sky (Nu Andromeda and 32 Andromeda are the most bright stars around Andromeda).
They are the result of supernovas which disperse gas and create nebulas, which are the forge of stars. They aren't just radio sources, but combined with their rapid rotation and audio signal could also be related to the spiraling stars and whisperer or siren. Plus Burnell was also involved with Quasars. I personally don't think this is the right theory, but I wouldn't rule it out completely. No, they don't. They are just radio sources associated with neutron stars. You're confusing quasars and pulsars which are two completely different objects.

It's all very subjective and like I said, I don't agree with this theory, but besides the Milky Way and Andromeda all the other theories for the mother of galaxies also have huge holes in it.Right, this all happens LONG after a galaxy is formed. Pulsars (and neutron stars) are created at the end of the star "shelf life". Galaxies are created billions of years before that. Quasars are basically radio sources associated with SMBHs in other galaxies:

By current models, SMBHs most likely predate galaxies and are the main reason galaxies start accreting around them from stellar gas, which then gathers into stars. Billions years laters some of those stars blow up to become neutron stars and the lucky few that point in our direction become pulsars.
We've discovered quasars BEFORE Burnell discovered LGM-1. She's a fantastic astronomer, but that's like attributing all modern physics to Einstein.

P.S: Forgot to mention Sag A as a strong possibility as well.
Hmm, reminds me of this:I've tried to replicate the pic of TDW codex. I've got pretty close with a red giant, 4 Cassiopeiae, which also has a gas giant with 8 moons.

I think you forgot to include the 2 most obvious, which are the Milky Way and Andromeda. The mother of galaxies could literally be either our home galaxy or the largest galaxy visible to us. The question is which is the jewel? The options are:
- mythical creatures / goddesses (the list from Wiki is probably best start - this is unfortunately a rather long list and since it's not clear what the outcome would be, any of those works),
- real-life people (physicists, astronomers - it's usually space stations, less actual astronomical objects, but due to science being male-dominated, there are very few candidates - Burnell and Leavitt being about the only two hence the whole discussion),
- physical forces / objects - Sag A*, force of gravity in general, black holes in general - this becomes a question what exactly "the brow" is, and what "the jewel" might be and what "burns" means - so the problem is this creates more questions than answers and winds up being somewhat useless to pin anything down.

I've asked that same question in the past and got mild to that's stupid responses. But Maybe. I have thought about that before but we would still need to know what system to be randomly clicking in and locking onto. Unless it gives a noise which the system map does have star planet and location songs.OK This may be a dumb question, but did we consider that there is a 3-dash circle in the system map cursor (and that may be just about the only place you can find it - or are there other places?)

Before we jump to this. I still think its showing a phase sequence for a certain system. @Tifu how's that dodec station list coming?

Can you make a cross if it was a dodec in the past. if so can you get the station ID number by the door if it has one . And if it has an AntennaI'll squeeze in the visits after breakfast (GMT+8) just to check if the stations are DoDec or not.
But I'll have to give them another closer look starting with Leesti & Tionisla for anything unusual even if they do turn out to be Coriolis just to be thorough.
