When wolf rayets are next to other stars, they appear to spiral, hence how I am connecting it to raxxla, "princess astrofel and the spiralling stars"
Really? That's quite interesting. I've had the urge to go check out all the Wolf Rayet stars in the galaxy, there aren't that many according to Spansh, so I might take your clue and do it.

"Wolf-Rayet stars, known for their high temperatures and strong stellar winds, can spin rapidly due to a combination of factors, including their massive nature, rapid evolution, and potential interactions within binary systems. "
I did visit one specific star, Merrill's Star, which I read was one of the fastest run-away star we knew. Nothing found on that one, but doesn't have other stars in the system so wouldn't fit your theory anyways.

Gamma velorum is dead centre of that particular sphere of brain trees and with the exception of guardian sites that appear in galnets all guardian sites are currently within one of the brain tree spheres. it's likely a guardian related zone but you might as well drop any concepts that hit a permit because you've either missed a step to getting the permit or are on the wrong track. We might as well assume that it's there to be found because otherwise there's no point looking.

The regor sector is huge. Good look duping a map for gamma velorum.

Gamma velorum is the centre of the so called guardian bubble. It is also a 4 star system, having a wolf rayet in that system. When wolf rayets are next to other stars, they appear to spiral, hence how I am connecting it to raxxla, "princess astrofel and the spiralling stars" part of that bubble is accessible, the area that surrounds the locked part of that bubble.

Thanks.

I'm not going to worry about arguing what "huge" means in the context of Elite Dangerous :D

I'm also not going to argue whether Gamma Velorum and Regor Sector are for Guardian story or not. They probably are, and whether that has anything to do with Guardian homeworld, I guess we'll find out when / if Elite story gets to that point.

Wolf Rayets in the game vary from extremely boring (another white ball hanging in the sky) to unbelievably exciting places (NGC 40). Same as with anything else, it's not really the star type, it's what FDEV did with it.

I think it's obvious to me by now that we'll never have these sort of things in Elite again. When Michael Brookes left Elite Dangerous that was the end of the "cool" mysteries and story telling. Sure, we had some stuff, but to be honest most of the writing is lacking and the plotlines don't make much sense and seemed to be written quickly just to justify an ingame change or event.

I'm a little more optimistic. MB passing left a void, but as Aristotle said, "nature abhors a vacuum".

Have we found the complete library of stuff from the Guardians? I know Ram Tah has a mission to find 100 logs, but wasn't it like 3000 total?
We only get them when translated by Ram Tah through his 2 missions we have all those logs but no other readable logs. The Guardian codex that we scan for the logs do play an audio that appears to be a message but so far nobody has cracked the code on that and mathematically those messages resemble someone throwing together something looking like a message using a random number generator.

Do you have a pic of that spectrogram?

I have many. There are 7 message elements and 1 message footer. The message footer is always the same.
The message elements vary in frequency but their shape and duration is always the same.
Messages are a seemingly random length and do not repeat with enough regularity that I've ever recorded a repeat.
When broken down over a sufficient sample set the 7 elements basically have an even distribution.
I have messages that contain prime number numbers of elements making combining them into sets a difficult proposition.
Here's what my longest and shortest messages look like. This is from my processing but you can do the same thing with audacity.

Thanks for sharing.

They look like the internals of a lock.

They look structured but a bit like the stream of characters from the antenna in non imperial non high tech stations. Mathematically they resemble noise and nobody has managed to crack them. Lots of ideas nothing so far that holds water.

Sounds like a similar issue to the orbital station numbers mystery. Do you have to complete the missions over and over to get new messages or can you just continually scan the Guardian Codex?

you don't need the mission. Just drive up and they'll play. Park by one and it'll play a message take a break play another one. Drive away and come back and it starts immediately. Exit the SRV to onfoot and get back in and it plays immediately. Gather as many as you want I get roughly 25 messages per hour if I want to.

Edit: I forgot to add scanning them will reset them and they'll reboot and then start a new message once they reboot.

been tried lol. It just rejects them. [ re: soontil relics ]
bummer ok i'm gonna try something later that just occurred to me about that 'map room' and it's 3 stations....
The map itself appears to be eyecandy, but we could be wrong.
iirc, there's a way to enter that ground site without getting ANY aggro from the 'drones' , right? By carrying a certain 'Thargoid probe' item or something? i forget
i've only been there a couple times and i was of course in awe , so i didn't really study the hologramap image closely ( other than taking that screenshot real quick )
Unfortunately as already said, nothing from the actual map resulted in any breakthroughs. 99% eye candy, which served a purpose at a specific time and now is only a nice looking paperweight. Kinda like visiting a museum, it's a bit how most of the Elite Dangerous exploration experience feels.
ugh i really hope you're wrong , because again i just keep coming back to this inconceivable FACT: We still have yet to explore barely even " 1% " of the known galaxy for which this game offers as accessible/travel-able.
Not counting of course all those mysteriously ( and perpetually? ) locked 'permit' systems.

Heck another player today, seemingly out of nowhere, just posted this possibly related query--> https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/spacial-rifts.636157/
We only get them when translated by Ram Tah through his 2 missions we have all those logs but no other readable logs.
i'm still working on the Ram Tab ingame mail mission , but tbqh i've been having a hard time wrapping my pea-brain around all the darn item code/combos!
( Math > me o_O )

My friend telling me about Raxxla, Thargoids, Guardians and all the cool ingame events that occurred in the early years of Elite Dangerous is what got me engaged to the game in the first place. If he told me that none of those events would happen again and most of the old mysteries he mentioned would remain exactly the same 6 or 7 years later I would never play the game.

I think it's obvious to me by now that we'll never have these sort of things in Elite again. When Michael Brookes left Elite Dangerous that was the end of the "cool" mysteries and story telling. When was the last time we had an experience like when people found the first Thargoids, or when the first Guardian ruins were discovered? Even that Drew Wagar event based on his book was historical, even though it didn't end like most people would want or expect lol. Still just the fact they done something like that made Elite Dangerous stand out to me. And thus I got engaged into it and did enjoy many aspects of it, but I can tell you exploration and treasure hunting isn't one of them, since exploration is a joke when there's nothing to find and all the cool treasure hunts are in the past.
I think the appearance of the titans was similar to our first encounters with the thargoids?

ED definitely had a lapse in lore and story telling for a period prior to odyssey and all the issues that entailed, however the whole salvation story was, in my opinion, a return to form. Game wise, the last couple of years have been great.

In our current universe of ED, we have 2 first encounters. The first first was around the year 3100. For the most part the public was not aware of the super powers involvement and any story about the Thargoids was myth and exaggeration. The Mycoid virus was used and the Thargs stopped a majority of their attacks.

The second first is the Tharg attack on a Fed attack force early 3300's. It was so bad that they had no choice but to admit it was from the Thargoids. Caleb Witcherly (a.k.a. Salvation) set a trap in HIP 124600 so he could use the Proteus wave and eradicate the Thargs, but it backfired and basically called the Titans to human space.

There are two accounts of the first first contact. The other one took place in Frontier First Encounters, the predecessor to ED. But this story has no bearing on our game. A few things were merged with ED, like a vaccine being made, (it's use and location have not been verified) and the two NPC's Mic Turner and Meredith Argent. These things are in ED lore, but we have no idea of their impact other than the vaccine being made and shipped somewhere, Mic and Meredith were partners for life and they are the founders of the Alliance.

Polaris was front stage for that story. Rumor is that one of the Quest class vessels from AAAI is there. On release of Elite Dangerous Polaris was not permit locked. I'm sure it's locked now because we as players voted to be violent to the Thargs and not peaceful. Now with trailblazers and our victory over the Thargs I suspect we'll see another entity enter the lore and maybe we'll need what is in Polaris.

IDK. I suffer from space madness at times.
