Memory falls but I don’t recall this has been seen before, it doesn’t look uniform to me, eg repeating shapes as there seem to be curves in there too… I agree maybe it’s a pattern, I wonder if it’s a wraparound design, or maybe just needs a clean up to show the data better. Has this been thrown at Cannon Research yet, they’d be all over it - if they haven’t already.

Of course random shape, can just be random shapes?

Certainly is a spectrogram, I've never seen it before. When servers are back up and I make my first claim, I will attempt replication. So u just looked a nhss in fss and recorded?

Correct - this is just recorded audio by zooming onto a thargoid source in FSS. Linear, 20db high boost - otherwise defaults in Audacity.

Very curious as to why --> https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...blazers-release-schedule.634056/post-10554424 ... they've decided to completely withhold Patch Notes this time. Someone check if @Paul_Crowther 's message gives off a hidden RAXXLA radio signal... :cautious:
"Full Update Notes will be released alongside the update."

"Full Update Notes will be released alongside the update."
yes i'm aware Jorki, since i posted the quote lol my point was the fact that this particular time they're withholding the Notes until AFTER the update goes live. ( which is odd )
. Has anyone tried putting titan drives into the delphi crashed structure?
Adding that ^ 1st thing on To Do List !
In all seriousness though, has anyone ever done an itemized spreadsheet list testing all possible items placed within that map room? ( i'm assuming each & every item has already been tested by many many players over the years in some forum thread somewhere? )

@Macros Black it looks like the simpler orbital bases construction requirements are actually soloable though with help construction time can be cut down to one week easy.

I like the "noob hammer" style btw and I think it doesn't make sense that the first 15ly step is a complex & expensive station.

The very cool but complex asteroid base has an 11k CMM composites requirement (among other things) so it definitely has to be done as a group.

And oh yes, systems can be named using ARX.

So the question is, are we doing this as a group? I'll support whichever choice is agreed on 💯%

ps. If this does become a group project, we'll probably need a separate thread

Watching the colonization threads, I realized that stockpiling CMM composites is going to be a thing. Anybody got a carrier I can bring some to?

About 28-30 T9 trips, also all fits in one carrier. It's definitely doable, if very tedious.

With some luck, they may wind up pivoting much of the commodity economy towards completely player driven. This has been driving me nuts about this game since its inception - there isn't a whole lot to this whole trading stuff - there are stations that sell it for X and there are stations that buy it for Y, and it's a giant fetch quest. They added the bulk trading penalties which honestly IMO just made it worse. If they truly want a vibrant economy system, it needs to be an actual free market with supply and demand, and the main problem is that the supply now is essentially infinite (and for some things tweaked in weird ways like the caps on rare commodities that you can have in the cargo), and the demand is effectively - the demand is purely about the time you're willing to invest in shuttling the goods around. But having a decent commodity sink combined with some tweaks on production and supply of the commodities could wind up making this actually interesting. For this to work for real though we'd need some manufacturing chains in place - commodities X, Y, and Z, plus some specific facilities, result in commodity A or some other goods which then are needed for some goals (like colonization, or ship building, or whatever).

This change has potential, but I think right now it's very early.

One benefit of the new Colonisation View is you can much more easily visualise the restricted Permit Lock zones 😆 ❌❌ ❌

The Cone Sector is just a GIANT red bubble of NOPE ❌ :pView attachment 418303

I’m currently stuck in Legacy, but this is a boon for Raxxla hunters.

I’d love a 3D view of the bubble and see if theres any dark zones, and compare it with the data I’ve put together. This is like an intelligence void map….

Don’t go here, nothing to see!

I'm beginning to wonder if anything else other than the Soontil system is blocked from any colonization efforts. Is there some sort of list we could go through and check vs. colonization availability?
