CMDRAscorbius claims to have been there and heard it directly from Michael Brooks at Lavecon in a Q&A. The full video from twich seems to have gone, but someone clipped the important bit here in an earlier post: https://m.twitch.tv/clip/SnappyScaryMousePupper

Just in case that disappears (or if Jorki is on his iPad :) ), I've done a quick transcript below (I left out the thanks for his additional followers as it's not relevant).

"I was in the room when Michael Brooks said the thing... the system where Raxxla is has been entered at least once by a commander, they just jumped and off they went. ...They either scooped and gone...He didn't say anything else but the system where Raxxla is has been visited. So it's not in the 99.99999999% of the rest of the galaxy... we have been there. Whether you trust my word or not.... is.... that's a thing... but I was there when he said it, because he said it at Lavecon and it was in a Q&A. Erm so it's not in a locked system but we just don't know how to find it or what even it is... or what even it is.... I do think the Dark Wheel have something to do with it..."

Whilst there is speculation in the statement, he does claim to have been there at the time and heard the comments directly.
Well that narrows the search for RAXXLA a little. By my reckoning, at least a couple of millennia. ;)

Well it was Ascorbius I pm’d over this, in August 2020, but I was operating Chatham House rule! 😉

Strictly speaking that statement does not tell us about any permit; assuming this rumour is valid then the pilot who flew there could have already obtained the permit! The system could even be Sol! MB did not give secrets away, we don’t even have a date for this supposed system entry!

As for location, well only five weeks after the game launched (16Dec2014) Erimus Kamzel reached what is now known as Beagle Point on the far side of the galaxy (source: https://elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Distant_Worlds). Lavecon was July 2015, so a fair distance must have been covered by the total playerbase by that time. So no, even if true this uncorroborated statement (I’m not doubting Ascorbius, I’m being pedantic over provable statements🙂) tells us nothing about the possible location of Raxxla.

What Ascorbius said to me was:
“It was during a closed Q&A session - I'm trying to recall whether it was Lavecon or the later ECM in Reading. It was the last Q&A Michael Brookes was at.

I'm pretty sure it was Lavecon 2017 in the Q&A. There were a load of things announced there, Crime and Punishment and the early views of AX weapons as well as Search and Rescue.
I've also just checked Michael Brookes announced he was stepping away from Elite at Lavecon 2017 so it's pretty unlikely to be the ECM Reading.

The memory is hazy given that I've been to a few Lavecons and ECMs and recollections after the fact are unreliable but I'm pretty sure it was Lavecon 2017.

But I absolutely was there when he said it, it's sad there's no footage with it being a closed Q&A, but there were a lot of people in the room.

I didn't go to Lavecon 2016 or 2015 so it's definitely not that those.”

Now 2017 is another two years, so the extent of the explored galaxy had expanded significantly by then....So, the only thing this statement (if true) tells us is that Raxxla is not necessarily obvious. It could be beyond range of a basic scanner, out to the deepest reaches of a system, or hidden and will only reveal itself when honked by someone close by, or some other unknown trigger (possibly even you have to be Elite and a member of TDW 😁).

Hmmm I wonder, a good ton of exploration (apart from beagle point and sag A) was mostly out towards formadine rift in search for the zahura and orion, region due to thargoid and probes etc, yes alot of space was being explored also during this time but the sheer numbers out in these directions would make more of a percentage of "being explored" systems than towards the other regions, edsm etc may give some insite to traffic reports of those using the plug in... Though this would be finding a mm length of a needle in a very large farm of haystacks still :-(

I wonder if we can estimate the number of people who kept within the bubble and those who explored just outside and how far they will go away from the bubble.
I know when I started in 2018 I didn't bother going any further from the bubble unless it's straight to Pleiades sector.

Seems like this could of been found if every system was catalog very strictly with time, date, systems,

Pssst - wanna buy some Soontil Relics? Or Unknown Artefacts? Shurely persuading players to sell certain rares in certain places couldn't make a difference to the narrative? And when all else fails just try listening to them, with extensive out of game sound analysis software and skills that every player has, or spend months searching a route that was hinted at in Galnet (back when it was good) of thousands of LYs only to discover you missed the object by 7.4LY after someone else finds it. Great fun!!
It's even worse than that. Remember Gan Romero?

Just working on my current rabbit hole...

Now now, you’re not paying attention! 🧐
Too much incense sticks and meditation while stood on your head in lotus position? 🧘🏻‍♂️

Someone said (I believe on this very thread) that the Sarasvati system had been renamed as Sharon in memory of (if I remember correctly) his deceased spouse & there was no hidden meaning. 🙂

Ah ya I guess I missed that.

Ahem, it's "another theory bites the space dust!"

I stand corrected and abase myself, I grovel in the dust on the deep pile lounge carpet (after moving the copawlot’s ball, and rubber bones, and copawlot) 😱😢

Aaah, he’s at staring at me, he’s just had his lunch, what IS it? I can’t stand the terrible reproach in those sad brown labrador eyes, it’s getting to me! 🥺

I have an idea that if successful will lead us a few steps in a circle right back to where we are, but with some Confirmation Bias as well:

Im going to give you an object.
You are going to 'hide' that object.
There will be a world-wide treasure hunt for the object, everyone can play.
There will be no clues.
You can hide it anywhere in the world, as accessible or inaccessible as you like. Only proviso is it cant be locked away in a vault or bank or something like that, it must be publicly available. It must be 'findable', however difficult it is to actually find it even if within 1m of it. No clues though.

Where do you hide it? No need to answer just think about it, where would you actually hide this object.

Ill be back tomorrow to share my theory, but it wont actually help even if 100% successful.

Regarding space-dust biting theories:

I'll try to finish the Isis-puzzle although I'm a pessimist about it being related to Raxxla. Drew appearing in this thread kind of makes me think that he had a hand in designing Isis.
There's still the obvious possibility that The Club is the cabal as mentioned in the Raxxla-codex.

For now my biggest hope is the Dahan-system, which others already failed at decoding.

Otherwise there are some mysteries like the disappearing ships in Ququve/Zelada/Aimyia and of course the creepy Generation Ship Thetis, where I'm currently trying to decode the audio (ring modulation seems to be a promising approach).

Aaaannd.....
Another theory bites the dust! Another theory bites the dust!
And another one gone and another one gone
Another one bites the dust

Mmm, quite catchy, maybe someone might want to use it in a song 😁

Which Theory would that be? Im working off of the Parijat Story ... was just wondering if the Sarasvati fit in in some way.
