lol "single discussion" - "core game features" please dont troll me.

I mean that you say you can not change the core of the game, meaning that the core is "static".

Tell me that's like that in 2010 wargaming tell me that the tanks can not climb the mountains that is at the core of the game and can not be changed.

If there is something wrong must fix, if they can not be removed then they will have to make changes.

To say that the core of the game can not change or update is like saying that we can not upgrade the Linux kernel on a celulalr with android.

This is not an easy discussion if they have 300+ post.

Do not tell me nonsense.

OK, one more try to explain this.

The free SOLO/GROUP/OPEN switching is not a bug, it is a core feature of ED. And as such, there is no need or will to change it. Get used to it or go to play some other game.

I know it's not a BUG hahahahah.
Is becoming a bug, you do not need to explain that to me, I put fix for fun.

Finally, all the same, as it will not change.

MUST greatly improve the gameplay and add more content.
And openplay have to give some value but the opposite will happen.
They will need to give something to play OpenPlay.

For me, someone would have to form a band that is called:
Change the future of music no one to listen and play for the deaf.

Game is fun.

Unless you a griefer, then game not fun.

Im a griefer?

If to say what I think are a griefer, you're a player mediorcre not want to have more challenges.

Otherwise, learns not to judge the players, if they want to do so with you.

I have my community and have fun doing everything in the game, but never bother anyone.
If my ship has weapons I'm going to use if you are in diferent faction.

Do not ask me not do it, its part of the game. Its funny

I did not say that the game is not fun, for me it is a lot.
I just think you have to change some things, some others did not agree and others believe it is impossible.

You think I'm annoying to say what I think, just a dictator mind thinks so ..

The same way it's part of the game, of the core set of features promoted by Frontier ever since the game was first announced years ago, that I can just filter you out and keep playing as if you didn't exist in the game, apart from whichever influence you have on the background simulator. I'm not your content, I won't ever let you ruin the game for me, and I would never have even looked twice at this game if it didn't offer me the tools to avoid any player for whichever reason.

It's not about challenge. It's about filtering out persons I have no intent to play with, persons that would ruin my game's experience if they were ever in the same instance as me.

Fun to you perhaps. Not fun to me. What works for you will not work for other people.

I enjoy trading and exploring, but not combat. I don't like being interdicted by NPCs, though I can usually beat them. I would have little chance against a player, as I don't have fast reactions. Frontier have done a good job in celebrating the very real diversity that exists out there. Maybe that's one reason why the sales figures have been pretty good.

Introvert? Want to focus on exploring/trading goals? Want to go where you like without others affecting you? Solo/Group is for you.

Extrovert? Want to fight other players? Want the adrenalin rush and mayhem of unexpected PvP? Open is your place.

Feel like doing something different today from what you did yesterday? Mode switching is your friend.

Cheers, Phos.

What was it you said to me the other day, Jockey?

Just trying to be helpful, he said he struggles with English so I'm using small sentences.
Nothing wrong with trying to communicate with someone one their level, as long as you are being polite and not insulting.

And as people have thrown walls of text at him (myself included) and he cannot process it, it is better to change how we communicate
to prevent any further misunderstandings and help be clear on what we are saying.

It would also have been helpful if we knew his native language, as someone here may know it and could respond with details in a language
he can grasp and not one he clearly fails to see the nuances in. Heck there are people born and raised in England who struggle with English.
So expecting someone who is not a native speaker to understand what is going on is a tad rude of us really.

Whatever the "vision" or "dream" was they are now marketing it as an MMO to the MMO crowd.
And as a single-player game. And as a co-op game. If this alone doesn't tell prospective MMO players that they will never be able to force others to play with them in this game, I don't know what will. Perhaps a warning in huge red letters enveloped in a <blink> tag?

Whatever the "vision" or "dream" was they are now marketing it as an MMO to the MMO crowd. Do you think this could be why MMO players are buying this game and then wanting or expecting it to play like an MMO. I have an idea that might have something to do with it!

Slapping a set of horns on a cow doesn't make it a bull!
Slapping instanced, peer to peer multiplayer on a game played mostly in solo mode doesn't make it an MMO!
What I see is a lot of unhappy customers posting on the forums.
The single player guys are complaining about the content that is developed and as you are so quick to point out any work on x by the devs means less work towards y. The work on multiplayer has cost development time and gameplay decisions to be made by the devs.
The multiplayer guys are complaining about the lifeless empty multiplayer.
Both groups aren't happy and this is evident by the million back and forth posts here on the forums. Unhappy players write unhappy reviews! Unhappy players don't bring their friends into the game.
You can bypass this somewhat by just going around PC users and going after console users and this will net some more sales by those aren't aware of the issues but the reviews and word of mouth will hit the new console crowd soon enough then where are they going to go?
1/2 baked solo mode and 1/2 baked multiplayer mode is not a recipe for success I am sure of that!

Massive Multi Player... hmm 11000 playing together.. is not massive? MMO does not mean PVP, MMO means a lot of people playing together... now if it is supposed to mean everyone playing together I suggest you get on the horn to WOW, SWTOR, and all other MMO's and explain to them how they need to get rid of their separate servers and put everyone on the same shard and get rid of instanced dungeons and such.. I mean .. if they are all supposed to play together, 4 people instanced into an area is unfair and anyone who goes into that area should be able to see each other according to you.

And You are false...while there area a few people from different modes who are upset and that always happens in games. There is no massive outpouring of complaints. Solo players are not complaining, Multiplayer players are not complaining, PVPers are complaining...

So why make this thread?, whether Frontier will not change any of this gamemodes, because it is a programming issue or the core.
Then this thread is useless we are all talking here as talkative parrots, without that there is a possibility of change.
If all is well then you better do not write more, a waste of time review this thread.

The thread was started by those few who cannot accept how the game was made and want it their way.. the mods just combined it into one mega thread. There is possibility of change, there always is, what there is not is a possibility of drastic changes to the game alienating many to pander to the few.. and if is better that you don't write more... why are you still posting??

Actually I think the player mediocre would be someone who relies on destroying other players for their game enjoyment. And it is funny you make a comment about dictator mind since it is people like you who are trying to FORCE others to their gameplay.

My native language is Spanish, I do not feel insulted by anyone until you said "griefer".
Sorry if I can hardly express myself, but I want to improve the game without necessarily focus on the "PVP".
I talk about changing the economics of the game and you can not make a pseudo "SOLOMODE".
I do not think you have to remove the game modes, I believe that we must improve the interaction of them.
I have another post with ideas about the atmospheres of planets, I do not speak only of PVP and openplay, I too like the exploration and write about other things.
Perhaps all this useless and wasting time trying to ideas.
I understand that I write often confusing, I apologize for that.
I just wanted to know my opinion and that of many who do not speak the same native language and are within the community.

I can only speak for myself here, but I am a mediocre player. Maybe I'm overestimating myself in saying so, and in fact I am even a poor player. I just don't care - I'm playing for fun and not for a living.

I have a challenging job and a plethora of challenges beside my job - I neither need nor want some more challenges in the few hours I have left for recreation.

My ship doesn't have weapons, because at the moment I'm out in the dark exploring and I do not (and probably won't ever) belong to any of the power play factions.

Seems to me I have totally different goals in this game, than you. Yet I do have a lot of fun as well (playing solo).

So the game seems to cater for players of total different playstyles - why should FD wish to change that?

I at no time said that killing players have to walk everywhere, I said that we must improve the interaction.

And the pvp allows multiple players to join for a common good.

I think the truth there are many heads closed, I enjoy all areas of the game but some have a tremendous fear of encountering players.

And only their ships to kill NPC, I see no harm this, I do too.

But you can greatly improve the game by tasks between players.

Many closed minds is what I see, a shame.

I play The Crew, a racing game which is marketed as an MMO. Total number of players in a session 8 and the only time you see them is if they are in your immediate area or session. MMO now just means that many people can play the same world at on time, not in the same session or instance.

No...the one with the closed mind is you. You can't accept the fact that people, who choose to play in solo, don't want to play with you. And you have said nothing that could possibly make that change.

I at no time said that killing players have to walk everywhere, I said that we must improve the interaction. Improving interaction does not include forcing others to play your way.

And the pvp allows multiple players to join for a common good. Common good? PVP allows you to shoot each other.. PVE and those working together is common good.. I'm sorry but no, PVP is Against the "common good" not for it.

I think the truth there are many heads closed, I enjoy all areas of the game but some have a tremendous fear of encountering players. I agree and those closed heads , they are the ones who persistently believe that those who want to play alone or not participate in PVP have a "tremendous fear of encountering players" instead of actually reading the myriad of reasons of why others don't want to play with others... fear has nothing to do with it.

And only their ships to kill NPC, I see no harm this, I do too. That is the whole basis of the game... PVP an added feature.. and one not everyone enjoys.. quit trying to force it on others.

But you can greatly improve the game by tasks between players. Such as Community Goals, Power Play, I get it you play open because you want to play with others, I play Mobius because of the same reason and because no PVP.. Solo players can play as they want. Forcing Solo players to play with other players is not by any sense an "improvement" to the game.

Many closed minds is what I see, a shame.

Well it is a shame, and we keep trying to get you to see reason, but you prefer to remain close minded.. it is sad really.
