No...the one with the closed mind is you. You can't accept the fact that people, who choose to play in solo, don't want to play with you. And you have said nothing that could possibly make that change.

I have not closed mind, Im never said them should remove the "solomode".

I said I need to make changes so that the whole environment does not change or motivate the OPEN PLAY.
Those who want to play in solo mode to continue doing so, good for them, does not affect me at all, I will never see or find.

But if you can change my systems, the powerplay and change the status of all without anyone noticing that it seems unfair for those who want to play.

"I think the 3 modes should continue but with changes."

Game is fun.

Unless you a griefer, then game not fun.

I am not a griefer.
I am not that into having my ship that I did the grind for destroyed.
I am not into PVP . I do not like to just go meet and fight people.
I prefer to play friendly and meet and help out other players if I can.
The threat of being destroyed is what makes gameplay interesting though.
The possibility that I may be killed. This makes me "what if" my current play style and try to work around the systems in place to make myself safer. I.E. move out far to find a safer trade system. Not take max cargo on my trade ship in leu of stronger shields. The threat of PVP makes games interesting and more fun.
If I keep getting interdicted and killed in a system then I need to relocate to another trade route or reallocate to an even bigger shield module. I have to play smarter and adapt to an ever changing environment. Maybe this week or this time of day the system I want to trade in is safe, maybe not next week or even 3 hours from now.
Yes a toxic, hostile environment can be created in games. One where I can't even get to the far away system because every time I leave the station I am destroyed!
No one wants this, not even the PVP crowd wants this.
This is a possible outcome but with a little effort by the developers this can be easily avoided, there are plenty of suggestions already posted so not going to relist them all.

Just stop with the misinformation because someone wants a more diverse play environment does not mean they just a griefer and their opinion can immediately be discounted! This is false logic and flat out WRONG!

I am not playing PowerPlay, but I carefully read the PowerPlay Manual. English is not my native language too, but from the PP Manual, I clearly understood that the whole PP thing was carefully designed with Solo/Group/Open in mind. Maybe it is not written in big red letters on the page one of the manual, but "YOU ARE NOT NEITHER SUPPOSED TO, NOR REWARDED FOR DIRECT INTERACTION WITH PLAYERS FROM OPPOSING FACTIONS".

You are not the only PvPer, who either did not read the PP Manual or did not understand it. PP is from basic designed to be played INDIRECTLY via PvE missions. And it is by design, with common Galaxy shared across modes and platforms in mind.

Making changes so that the Solo / Group modes don't affect or change Open Play would require a set of new servers and possibly another person at Frontier to work on the alternate back story (Galnet news. Politics etc.)

How do you propose we pay for the extra cost incurred by doing this?

Would the change mean that in Open Play the Emperor is dead but in Solo / Group mode the Emperor is still alive? Would the Empire take over in Open Mode but the Federation or the Alliance take over in Solo / Group mode? In Solo / Group mode would the Galaxy be saved from the disease which is starting to spread whilst in Open Play the Human Race is destroyed because nobody stopped the disease from spreading?

Separating modes would require completely different story lines and would just complicate everything including the postings on the forums. You would need separate sub-forums for different story lines otherwise people would get confused when something is said but isn't reflected in their version of the galaxy.

Making that change seems like a lot of work and money just to satisfy a few and I very much doubt Frontier would see the benefit in doing so especially when it detracts from their original vision.

Yes, perhaps I am not an expert, but the leaders of my community yes.
All that, is malfunctioning, at least so express it, why so many are abandoning him.

The fortifications and undermining become a monotonous and useless long-term task for the player because you never know what is really going on.

I think that needs to be fixed.

I do not use capslocks, I just wanted to highlight what my opinion.

No need to remove all aggressively, modifications can be made to notify the user that certain tasks can only be performed in open mode.

And the changes are reflected in the SOLO MODE.

OpenPlay -------------------------perform changes -------> SoloMode and Private Group
Solomode and Private Group----------not/changes------------>Open Play.

In this way you would always play "SOLOMODE" updated and you could keep playing in your favorite mode.
Without affecting other players with your changes.

Changes in the game environment would give only one way, or everything will be bad mix.

Maybe you could even make credits, trade, explore and bountyhunting in "SOLOMODE" but getting less profits than OPEN PLAY.

This way you can encourage new gameplay modes in open and solo.

Nobody would preclude you.

No they are not.

Only "expert" on game = Frontier.

Frontier say game is fine. Game is good.

Your "leaders" want what game not have.

They "expert" at other game, not Elite: Dangerous.

Perhaps they go play what they "expert" at, be happy there?

Sorry for the capslocks, I just tried to yell, because you are approx. 100th player who did not fully understood the PP rulebook (and your leaders are probably 101, 102 etc.).

The whole Galaxy is shared not only with Solo/Group players, but also with XBox players (in near future, there can be more XBox players than PC/Mac players) and you will never be able to see the XBox community. And yet, they will play the same PP as you are playing.

Or try to imagine different thing. One day, the FD simply bite the bullet and will get rid of all this PvP non-sense at all. Simply will not allow Player-Player direct interaction in the same way as such interaction is not possible in other MMO games like Firefall. With current set of PowerPlay rules, you will be able to continue to play PP even in pure PvE environment.

From this you can clearly see, that PP was designed from the base as an indirect competition between players and groups. Something like a chess game, where you are allowed to move your tower to A-5 but you are not supposed to punch your opponent's nose. :)

Not fun :
Go into solo mode and move cargo from a to b

Fun
A group of players is blockading the trade route so we need a group of defenders to break through the blockade and escort the trade ships through.
1/2 the traders need to outfit their trade Pythons and Conda's and bust up the blockade while the other group runs the trade route
Coordination needs to take place who is going to trade and who is going to equip for battle
communication needs to take place, to who is being interdicted where and needs help. Where were the pirates last seen.
man what a dynamic game experience this brings VS solo pick up 400 tons of meds bring to another station rinse repeat!

The most exciting, fun thing I have had happen to me in game was
I was running a trade route for the thousandths time and I got interdicted.
I am in a Python, I am like yawn ok so I guess I will get a little bounty on the way, I figure it is another AI cobra.
I deploy hard points and start to turn towards the enemy.
I get fired on and hit H to lock on to the nearest hostile.
The lock on display shows it is a CMDR that interdicted me and my shields immediately start dropping.
Stow hardpoints and simultaneously abort my turn towards the enemy and turn and boost away from him.
I start the spin up of my frameshift drive and still taking damage to my shields boost into frameshift.
2 more times I got interdicted and submitted and immediately run away (no turning towards the enemy anymore, as a CMDR is a real threat)
I finally made it to the station badly damaged but with my cargo intact.

It's good that you have found enjoyment in the game. It's also the case that not everyone finds the same things enjoyable in the game.

Are you serious?

You'll leave you submit impose so after you paid?

Oh great!

So now if I want to use an advertised feature which was part of my decision to buy the game I lose out?

If that ever happens I would want a full refund!

Well, it is your definition of fun, not mine. On the other side, it is a nice illustration that the Solo/Group/Open work as intended. You have your fun in Open and I have my fun in Solo/Mobius.

But it does not have nothing to do with the common Galaxy BGS and PP.
