Two interesting things that you can figure out watching the last "10 for the Producers" show:
Pre-Alpha FPS, originally promised for about an year ago, recently promised for a couple of weeks, was now delayed in months, possibly another year (if you analyse all the things
that Travis Day mentioned that "they want to add and improve before release").
Besides, they basically confirmed that the 22 million stretch goal was just a lie, something that basically, never will happen.

Yes. It has failed. But definitely some people are capable to have a better insight than others. Some will take longer to see. Some never will see, creating an alternative reality where they will be successful regardless what they see around.
But in practice... yes... they failed already... and their persistent cash grabbing attitude and persistence in the televangelist speech proves that again and again, that they have so much insight as me and others on that. If they had any hopes of success, they never would risk their image in the way that they do. They only do what they do, because they know that screwed already, passed from the point of no return, and now, the thing is to milk while they can.
