Yeah, it's called the Wing Commander movie ;-)....I still enjoyed it but the cast...my god :X

Honestly I and a bunch of others in teamspeak watching the live stream saw it, I dont have the link. But it was way back when they used to do those marathon live streams. At one point the camera panned and caught a bunch of them. But quite honestly i don't hold that against them. Hence I edited it out from my post in case it was taken that way. Who here is an angel etc etc. All i'm saying is there's no way they run like a well oiled machine.

Actually I was thinking of a freelance debacle? not sure which one but I've heard all about it.

And that's why CR hired Alex Mayberry, Tony Zurovec etc. CR admits that he can't manage everything that's going on.

Yes, But DB clearly doesnt have that issue...nor does he seem to surround himself with mates and the Sandi Gardners of the world. He's a class act and a different league my friend.

Again: I think now is the right moment to sell your SC ships as long as the hype is still there ... afterwards it will become very difficult to see your money again - especially if you have put in a high amount of it!

The galaxy is mind boggling-ly sexy. In order to live there and fly around I have to learn to defend myself. Otherwise I would just explore and smile and love everyone and everything. So, I need solo npc stuff...

My Christmas tree bobble head makes me weep with joy. I love the cockpit. I will love my hotas ... one day ... I'm now wanting to make my own hawt voice commands/answers in Voice Attack.

I loved watching the to YAW or not to yaw video...maybe I'll watch the docking one a few more times *cough*.

You get my drift? My need for other players is simply the need to be in a community in this game. I can sense everyone. I did that in eve for 7 years. I don't have to steal or blow up ships to make my living in a space game. Hell, I may just fly around in my respawnable ship forever...assuming I figure out how to stay fueled for the long trips.

Pirates need victims and they don't want to wait until people are trained up a tad before they jump in. Solo mode protects newbs (unless they want to be killed "SHOOT ME! FREE BOUNTY!") and makes pirates wait...and some don't like the wait and actually sound like ... wait for it: ANGRY BIRDS! OMFG ... ROFLMAO

No offense, I thought your longer bit on money was brilliant, and it inspired me to blah blah blah. I can never resist.:D

Actually I was thinking of a freelance debacle? not sure which one but I've heard all about it.

Well it is a 24 hr stream ;-)....cough... but yeah Freelancer could also be considered another debacle to be honest. That game started production around 1998 and it had a lot of ambition, in 2000 it was delayed by quite a bit and it was released by MS with a lot of missing features.

Well, those are all the people he has worked with in the past though. Who do you hire when you are starting a brand new company and probably know nobody? You try to convince your old support group that you have worked with to come work with you. Plenty of the "older" people in charge at CIG are considering SC as their last game in the industry as all of them are pretty old themselves.

But it's nice that he added in the outsiders because he at least recognizes that he can't run it all. So hopefully those newcomers can be there to balance out the "Yes" men.

He seems lost to me. And retreating to the defensive and the praise of fanboys who 'get it'. Can't forget that remark.

Yeah that remark was a bit cringe worthy :S.... but all of us "negative" people who are still sticking around forums are doing some good in getting them to see problems ;-)...

I guess its down to how patient you are. The SC community on their forums is pretty toxic to be honest. I'd say same toxicity as on Elite forums when you have somebody who does not like one aspect of Elite and gets drowned out by the people who do like it :S.

That's a pretty good review. I'm sure more reviews will becoming out on Elite as it gets closer to release. Shame really that it did not get as much attention as SC because its a much better game at the moment. Especially the flying and the feel. I'm sure it will get the recognition it deserves soon to be honest, especially as more people play it in this Beta and the upcoming Gamma.

Huh? tbh since beta was released I've seen A LOT more articles/video reviews about ED than I have about SC and AC. Most of them are linked in the ED subreddit... there's quite a few over there.

Also I'm not sure I want Elite to be very popular... look what popularity did for SC, their forums and subreddit are plagued with people that manage to give me migraines with a single post of theirs.

I enjoy the current Elite crowd a hell of a lot more.

Niche game forever please.

I am into ED just a hour ago.

Well with mouse and K-board. Well it feels like the worst mouse space game.
Did Waste disposal. Lucky it's al passive stuff.
First Kill. What a huge handicap.

X-Rebirth works even better.
So it time to get me a Joystick With throttle controller

SC don't know but people here can exaggerate a lot. There are people heaving fun with it.
And I am very open and diverse gamer. From Arcady to simulator and every shade of grey between those extremes.


And got Origin so might check out wing commander to.

though you must admit: FD never advertised to the mouse crowd, while CR HEAVILY advertised to the simulation/hotas crowd.
