Anyone know if there have been any iterative patches of 2.5 yet? Rolan seems to have been quiet in the last few days with his factual updates, I think he said he had been on holiday.

I'm kind of busy these days so i'm not able to post that much, and honestly there is not much to post about, but the last information more or less "official" is that they are in the 2.5.0a or more.

It's so mesmerizing that I could watch it for hours :D

Yeah, you do have a point but I would say this isn't as important as fixing server crashes and other game breaking bugs.

As others have pointed out, you're not here to have meaningful discourse. So I'm posting this here for the benefit of others, including the mods; so that next time you get a full ban, not a suspension.

This maybe too reasonable but I would say that because the basics of FPS were within the mini-PU, 2.0's release, there was little need, in a production standpoint, to put more resources into a module that had the sole purpose of testing FPS combat. IMO, I think CIG underestimated the need for Star Marine because what is in the mini-PU now isn't as tightly focused as Star Marine would have been.

For if there's one thing the Vanduul has taught us, it's that without victory, there can be no towels

Considering just how much of a difference there was between 2.0 FPS and the star marine promises, if you're right then CIG must be far dumber than even I've been thinking.

You see, these endless rationalizations end up damaging your case much more than helping it

Well the last time I gave you my honest opinion about you, I got suspended and my post was deleted. So the question was apt. Also, I guess you don't want to post the screenshot that I took and posted in the same discord channel of what I initially wanted to post. Guess your lackeys or the people who posted this in the SA forum "forgot" to add the context.

And as you can see I chose to play it cool ;)

Everything that I have posted here is my own opinions, I have no hidden agenda and just want to discuss the finer points of SC's development.

That's the thing though, I don't care if it does or doesn't. I'm not trying to change your opinions, I'm offering alternative explanations. It's your prerogative to accept them or not.

I openly and willingly admit that I have gotten some of the facts wrong, but I am human after all.

Its funny how Star Citizens lack of progress and communication on important matters causes most threads about it to descend into personal attacks and toxicity even on non CIG forums. Its almost like a deliberate tactic by CIG to bore backers to the point that they actually forget about the game entirely. How anybody in their right mind is still throwing funds beyond the $120+ million already sent at them is beyond my understanding, 1 out of 100 starsystems, so many ships to complete, awful controls and controller implementation, no clear direction on the flight model or white paper for how dogfighting is intended to play out(as Frontiers Mike Evans has done for ED). I mean how far are we past the original funding targets now? Would any publisher contribute to a developer this far off its target dates?

I think its time for this thread to get off the doxxing and Derek Smart bandwagon(which is complete and utter nonsense and irrelevant to this thread and the development of SC) and start looking for some answers from CIG. Surely getting the answers to some of these basic questions which you would expect any decent crowdfunding developer no? I can't think of a single '10 for the chairman' where any worthwhile questions were answered satisfactorily, 99% of the time the questions 'hand picked' were about nonsense like procedural birds and fish tanks and other such nonsense, all the difficult questions are either fobbed off or avoided completely.

You clearly know nothing about games development.

You do a roadmap after all major art assets have been completed. You know, when your artists are free. Roadmap, clue is in the name. It's a picture, innit.

Well, I, and a few others here, don't accept them, and that's what I'm telling you.

Agreed. As a subscriber I was always a little miffed about the questions they chose for 10 for the Chairman but hopefully the new formatting change will assuage that. Although for a while there Beer4TheBeerGod seemed to always get in their questions which were always well thought out and specific.

Cool :)

So can we move on then?

That's totally hilarious!

But to be honest, I wouldn't see it as a big an issue, I mean even experienced devs make silly errors.

Still hilarious though.

I certainly do. More often than I am going to admit, but QA are quick to point them out to me, BEFORE a cut (branch) is seen by anyone else. I don't think it's the devs who need to be pulled up on this one. Do CIG (aka RSI) have QA/testers? Do they get to see whats going to be released to the public before that happens? Something like this should really have been spotted. If it had been it would have been a quick and easy fix.

But, you can't do even that on official forums, because asking such questions will get your threads locked or just completely deleted. Or filled with hate, misunderstanding, persuasion that everything's fine, then locked nevertheless.

Then, people resort to express their dissatisfaction and frustration to forums such as these, or SA, etc. where they again have to fight certain individuals not to get misunderstood...
