such gameplay- wow! [big grin]

My thoughts are 1: Holy Pixels, could you not shrink that or put it in spoiler tags or something? 2) The link to a reddit that led to that thread was posted and discussed this morning, at least briefly! :)

I'm not sure it's anything new, claims of servers being slowed down by the amount of data which has to be sent were made some time ago. I guess the need to send 5MB of data to each user on the server each time the ship is spawned (or so it's claimed) doesn't help. By the way, there's a supposed insider posting in the SA thread, and if you believe him (and I'm sure not all of you will), CIG is pretty much screwed, and SQ42 wont release before the the end of 2017.

ok so far my time in the new PTU - bought some clothes, bought a new gun, and a suit - all worked somehow (moving around is still more like glitching through...), I was able to equip my hangar with the decorations in game, and I was able to change weapons on my ship in hangar by walking up to the hardpoint (it shows menu).
I joined the mini universe, did few missions, earned some cash to buy new clothes/weapons.
It worked with no major glitches or T posing (I guess I`m lucky). But still it feels like a chaos not a game foundation - we can buy clothes, yet we are all the same clone army, we can fly ships but the flight model feels all over the place, we can alk around and shoot - it feel like broken "no clip" cam mode.

Can I say I had some real gameplay? Yes I definitely had some gameplay.
Can I say it felt like i`m in a consistent universe? Nope - still just few Cry Engine maps with pretty messed up controls.

But I have to say the new interactive UI in repair station/shops/ship hangar is pretty neat - it would benefit from your character not jumping and twitching
out every few seconds (your avatar is pretty much fighting the collider mesh all the time).

Thanks! I've sent a refund request via their temporary support page. If they do decline I'll try the charge back (actually the change of PP policy this month is what urged me to try to get a refund now).
You were OK with endless delays, missed stretch goals, JPG sales, shoddy game play, Ilfonic, repeated MOCAP reshoots, cancellations, copyright scandals, the Escapist article, snowflakes/goon labels, pay for testing and numerous missed deadlines, but it's a change in PP policy that scares you enough to put in a refund request?

Wow.

Reverse the 'Verse: Episode 98
TLDR
  • 2.4 currently has one smaller blocker that's preventing a live release, they hoping for the fix to come in tonight. If it's good then they'll launch, otherwise it'll be next week.
  • Starfarer, Gemini, Reliant Kore, and one gun will go on sale when 2.4 goes live.
    • Pricing will be $300, 340, and 65 for those ships respectively.
  • Shubin application winners have been announced and the post is live on the site.
  • Drake Dragonfly has been officially announced.
    • It will be for $35 and will go on sale next Friday with LTI.
    • It will also be sold as an individual ship and a two pack based off of the utility it possess
    • There will also be an impromptu drawing contest where they will choose two winners: one closest to the concept and the one farthest from it and award them a Dragonfly. Rules will be laid out in the post coming out sometime today for that. Update: Thread is live here
  • ATV Fast Forward was displaying some of Frankfurt's work on the EVA FPS which they've made the animations smoother and more fluid. Jared said that Fast Forwards wont always be glamorous as they can't give the "Steak and Potatoes" everytime.
  • Subscriber flair this month is the Sabre model which will be attributed today and will show up in hangars when 2.4 is live, just like the space cactus.
  • A preview of the female character model is on Sandi's Facebook with a segment about it on AtV in the coming weeks ahead.
  • CIG are partnering with some people to have a show floor booth at Gamescom over the course of 5 days at Gamescom, they will be having gatherings in the evenings for those who don't have tickets to Gamescom. They aren't doing a big presentation like before which is why they're doing a booth instead.
  • Jump Point Hardcovers should ship in a few weeks time. Alexis will update when they have a clearer window.
    • Dogtags are in production and will ship closer to July
  • Slaving Turrets to the pilot is something that can only be done with Item 2.0 tech is set up as it has elements that the slaving requires.
  • Weapon sizes are still being worked on as they go through each ship, it'll be an on going process.
Ship Status Updates

  • [Vanduul Blade] Disco saw it on Patrick Solerno's screen, but doesn't have much info as the community team doesn't track those ships often because they're going into Squadron 42.
  • [Carrack] Find out more in the later weeks.
  • [300 series] No updates.
  • [Caterpillar] Might see some stuff on it with the Dragonfly concept sale and they teased a video for the AtV 100th episode.

Matches my own hands-on assessments (minus PTU 2.4).
