"The Stones"

Oh my God, it's happening again, we're turning on each other ! ! !
Get it out, get it out, throw it out the airloc.

But seriously guys, we know what the message should contain.
The 30 oct log contains: Outpost latittude 11.86...
Now I didn't jot down the coordinates of the outpost, but I bet someone did.

The message also specifies the target system, either by name or coordinates
  • SYNUEFE XE-Y C17-7 or
  • 218.78125 / -102.4375 / -279.34375
But also, the logs says: "Entering system with a single M class star. Heading... metal body...
And 3 A is an icy body . . .
Synuefe is the K class, not the M.

1. It could: then it could refuel any time on the route, how initial fuel amount helps us?

Probably overthinking it, it was a limiter for us so we didnt go trotting of to Barnards Star trying to find it, we knew itwas within 370 LY.

If you do the jumps individually it adds up to nearer 370 LY than a direct line

It was a narrative necessity, same as the other clue about distance, to keep us in the right place / area.

That what I said, it is a help by Captain America :D Now you can expect anything dumb & magical like in movie.

Some of us appreciated the help otherwise we'd just have been observers watching the scientists work it out and then following :)

This was a timed Halloween event, it had to happen within a timeframe. Im sure some future ones wont and they wont give as many hints or make it as 'easy' (see Raxxla for level of help given if not a timed event :)) I just hope that there are a lot I can solve (with help or a chart) rather than just watch being solved, and that future players can still solve it without help too. Im trying to record as much as possible about this one and future ones so it can be solved from one thread on the forums after finding clues missing on the old ones.

mind you just done 2 more sets of 3LPs of the old ones and they were all complete and easy enough with a few jumps to get the right system. Whoever wrote those stories deserves a pay rise, some of them are horrific, just lonely people waiting for death or O2 to run out in the middle of nowhere. And both of these were in stunning locations.

they are already known about. The tweets are just a tour of the spooky 'Ghost Ships' for those who dont know.

Im ignoring them coz I havent done them all and will start at the beginning not just go to the end so its a Spoiler for me, but think for most people will be old news.

After visiting the Thetis one (I never did it before) I tend to think that they (or at least the Thetis one) may be related to what happened to the .

The log mention that there is a digital signal that keeps broadcasting and that is driving people mad. The signal originated from an unknown uninhabited planet. It is clear that that signal affected all the people (more than 17000!) on the ship. And the way it affected them seems quite similar to what the object caused to the Adamastor people. I think the alien origin could be the same.
I didn't look at canonn or other sources to see how far the story of this ship was investigated, but there is one thing that puzzles me in the logs and maybe some hints about the possible location of the planet?

Have you listened to the audio on the T? The last message, the last bit, spooky but left to individual to put own spin on it or make own story.

you can bet that any lead or hint was scoured but doesnt mean you cant have a go and see something others missed, but they usually dead to a dead end in the story, even the ones where there should be a clear conclusion for doing certain stuff seems to lead nowhere / have no feedback or final message, not even a thankyou. How many ships were lost sea without trace? Its that principle I think, we just have some logs sometimes that sailors of olde didnt get as a hint to what happened.

Ok, so the only thing that keeps flapping around my mind is how the Adamastor managed to travel 600ly from the LP to the Coalsack in one day. I'm not quite lored up yet on the old school drives (i need to read the wiki)

So can anyone give it to me basic.... can the old Gen ship drives make use of Neutrons/White Dwarfs?

I know they couldn't FTL jump... but could these said stars give them a "speedboost"? if they could... is it worth checking systems between the LP and Coalsack for Neutron/White Dwarfs?

Sorry if this has been covered.

What if the two extra listening posts make up a triplet?

Or, something completely different. We now know the LP's are also used for FTL communication. And their range seems to be less than 100 ly, otherwise the generation ships broadcast would have been picked up by multiple LP's.

So if that range limit also applies to FTL coms, the message to the Adamastor would have been relayed by several LP's.
Also, the message to the geo team in Coalsack would have to be relayed by several LP's.
Do they still hold part of the message?
