Are Community Goals and Wings two building blocks to something not yet announced?
Community goals gives the ability to colonise and build a new station albeit moderator controlled. Wings brings a group of players together with a shared aim. I started thinking about what they could evolve into.
Imagine if community goals became player generated at the Wings level and automated. Imagine if a Wing became a faction in the system it was located. If a faction(wing) has control of a system then it either owns the stations or has the ability to create a community goal to build one. Two or more Wings could duke it out for control and the right to build. If another Wing takes control then the Community Goal to build is cancelled. Take it a stage further and two or more wings could form an alliance.
Maybe I am being fanciful, but I am fascinated to see what releases 1.3 and 1.4 bring.
