The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt

Never mind, I think I found an option in my Account page on gog.com and there's downloads in there. There's a chance I can find relief now.

use this link with GoG Downloader to get the whole 24GB at once: gogdownloader://the_witcher_3_wild_hunt/installer_win_en

YESS!!!! It's back!! Thank the GODS! 1.06 never looked so good :D

I didn't even uninstall 1.07, just installed to a different directory, loaded my last save before 1.07, and POOF!!! SHAAZAAMM!! 60fps on Ultra+
And it's smooth as butter.

/relief

If anyone has a link to download 1.06 please share. I've done everything I can (and listen, I've been gaming and building PC's longer then some people have been alive) and it looks like my only relief will be to reinstall (hooray for box set) and get back to 1.06, except, I don't have the patch, and haven't seen evidence of a selective upgrade through GoG client.

And for the record, through no change other then 1.06>1.07 I've lost 50% fps and have the dreaded Stutter of Doom.
PIIX965 3Ghz, 4GB RAM, Raptor, DC2-290X

Broken and demoralized. Because I know I should build a new MB, but.. it was working GREAT before 1.07 and every other game I play is still stellar performance.

I've read one guy complaining that he's lost 100hrs of game time in a week of playing. He Just Started, a week ago.

Well, I've 45hrs, Level 13, just got two bad ass Relic Swords (Wolf and Blood<something>) after my full Griffin Set, and I started playing on Release... what? Months ago! So think about time invested there. As precious as it is in the real world. The PAINNNNN....

It's even more bitter then what's happened to ED. /burp

Please help a mate, and source a 1.06 patch file please. I fear unless a miracle 1.08 happens soon, I may loose all hope in HUMANITY. Wherefore I must reinstall, and need 1.06, the gods so decree it.

I don't get it. How you are have poor performance in 1.07.
I have weak configuration: Intel q6600 quad core, R9 270X, 8 GB ddr2 800mhz.
And i had FPS rate from 40 to 50, depends also of area.
Settings are Ultra, High. Without V-Sync and NVidia Hair-look .

Maybe, you need 4gb more RAM memory :)

I have one problem with 1.07.
I'm use Deadly rune mod, rewritten.

Three runes with this cheat stats:
Rune one: 195% Instant kill chance.
Rune two: 55% Critical hit chance.
Rune three: 195% Critical damage bonus.

It's Diablo 3 feeling, i miss that but I can't play.
Rune's disappearing from Inventory on load main Save, but i load another Save, Save from 1.06 version, rune's appear here in Inventory, then i reload main save and Rune's appear.

I will try Game uninstall - install.

I tell you what, I wish I new. It must just be my 3yr? CPU is just not up to snuff anymore. But at least as a nice excercise, as long as I keep my saves straight, and don't mind running through the config each time, I can run both versions side by side. Not 'at' the same time of course.
I can say also, that the SoD occurs even in the menus. It's horrible to witness /barf

Here's a test, to guess which Version is which in this example
GuessTheVersion1.jpg

There's an obvious clue if you notice it.

No one has guessed which version, 6 or 7, is on which side ;]
If anyone would like a youtube of what the stutter is, let me know and I'll upload it.
I hate to say it, but the 'platform' which is causing the issue is not the Brand on the box. *cAoMugDh*

Although, I could be completely wrong, and it's simple a pre-nextgenDXw10 snafu that is a few tweaks away of working on soon to be Legacy equipment.
It's a shame really. But I think the Witcher will maintain and come out the year still as the BEST GAME EVER!!!
With ED as the the best sandbox without a clue of a half-decade. Wargaming.net still owns the scene though when it comes to quick and fun MMOPVP action.

And god, HearthStone is just running on EverReady Batteries. For that matter, it's a given, a mention of Blizzard is likely taking a reference to God..

If you believe in that sort of thing... :/

And whether or not you had a proboem with 1.07, you can count on the Internet to get it wrong sometimes. Watching the 'Comments' on this one has been informative to me.

Most of the stuttering is caused by shadows quality and (especially!) foliage drawing distance. Reduce the latter first and if it doesn't help, the shadows also. Should do the trick.

By turning Off Nvidia hair-works and lowering foliage draw distance at medium, that will gain you significant FPS rate Boost.
*V-Sync had negative impact on FPS rate.

You may think this is some configuration thing, but it's not. Even with everything OFF/LOW it still happens, although on Low it's harder to detect, it's still there.

And again I reiterate, 1.06 60fps smooth, same settings in 1.07 30fps stutter. And I'm not looking to troubleshoot or solve it anymore, it simply is, and I am happily playing .06 until the next patch/fix. Which I may play to eternity because I've never had a single crash or any problem with it.

The dev's are definitely aware that the patch is doing something nasty to fps levels. Like I said myself I've noticed this myself and no amount of playing around with the settings seems to fix it completely. I like the patch for some of its features but I'd rather have a smooth experience so I'll drop back to 1.06 myself I think.

And where you have that issue? In Town's; in Open???

That's great news! :)

I think I have finally worked out a stable and performance friendly tweaks pack to the user.settings file. I still need to confirm a couple of things and then I will have a reliable suggestions on how to greatly improve the visuals in game while keeping FPS at reasonable level (the worst being around 33 FPS in the most demanding areas, but usually running between 40-60, depending on where you are).

I'll wait for 1.08 to hit first though to see what impact will that have on the performance.

I have stuttering and fps drop (performance issues) in busy area: towns and villages.
They are too busy, like performance impact busy.

That problem is seen in X Rebirth.

Reduce SpawnedLimit=150 in your user.settings file - this is how many actors can be spawned at the same time (Ultra is 150, I have it at 300 and I don't have any problems).
