Community Event / Creation Thrustmaster Warthog Configuration & Sheets

Sorry, have no idea why the files were removed from the server. They are fixed now and I've copied them to my OneDrive account in case they go wrong again. I'll update the first post, but the link is: http://1drv.ms/1IT70l3

Just curious. Can this custom binding file be imported into the mac version??

Not sure, sorry. I don't have a mac, so can't test either. Give it a try, if it doesn't work then you know for sure. Just copy the original file, if there is one, so you can restore it if it doesn't work.

Using the Warthog since some time but without using the TARGET software yet. What I would like is to manage my SYS/ENG/WEP only with one click instead of three clicks to change the pips to maximum. Is this possible with the Warthog (probably by using a macro)? What do I need to do add this, without compromising my custom bindings (.binds)?

Please check this amazing CMDR how super fast he is changing his energy management:

I would just like to thank everybody who have been most helpful to me on setting up my 12 hour old Warthog :) especially MikeyTT & ExRex

1 small question
, is there any way to cut the time delay when activating the landing gear up or down ? is't as if the stick freezes for a short while, I actually lost a Cobra due to it, as I was on full down thruster when I activated the landing gear in station by the time the stick responded again I ended up stuck under some base structure or something :eek:. It's no biggy, if not I'll just have to alter my landing routine and make sure I'm stationary when activating the landing gear.

Again thanks for the superb advice
Ian

That was a small bug in the way the original setup was configured. Cannot remember right off the top of my head but after much playing around with the settings I found out what it was that was causing the controls to "freeze."

I do not have any time to look but you are welcome to look through my script and see what the differences are and see if you can figure out what the issue is. Attached are all of my scripts I use for Elite, including my voice scripts.

I built these scripts with the help of many threads like this one. So I appreciate all the help everyone gave either directly or indirectly with building it. My psd/image files should explain how all the controls work. And they all should be updated with correct actions. Not sure though it was many months ago I built this and I have not used it in some time. My control setup is pretty complicated compared to most so. I also have my controls file that was used in elite. You have to have the target software running in the background with my scripts for the elite controls to work correctly.

Hope this helps!

See ya,
Bob

Thanks for replying actually I don't think it was a problem with the script more like it was I my end :eek: it seems having the throttle body plugged into what must be a dodgy USB port was the problem I've now got both stick and throttle pugged into the USB 3 ports and the delay has gone. I assume there was a power problem on the port it was plugged into, I'm now checking other USB items to find out if the port is dead :D

Sorry to cause any problems and time wasted, was my mistake :rolleyes:

The information in this thread is absolutely powerful and fantastic!
Big THANKS to MikeyTT and everybody else who participating to this!

Using Autohotkey for the PIP energy management and this is working fine with F5-F8. Would like to put this on the Warthog Joystick instead. How do I do the proper mapping for this?

According to ExRex great thread it should be these Joystick values:
Trim Control
H1U = DXHATUP
H1D = DXHATDOWN
H1L = DXHATLEFT
H1R = DXHATRIGHT

Part of the macro (which don't work):
;Makro energy management: 4 Ticks System, 2 Ticks Weapon
$F5::
WaitForKeyReleased("F5")
Send {Down}{Right}{Right}{Left}{Left}{Left}
return

Please accept my apologies if this is a noob question.
Appreciate any feedback - Thank you!

EDIT SEPT22_2015:
Found the issue. My Warthog was not correctly recognized by Windows 8.1. Driver and everything was correct installed, but the Joystick iD was not as number "1" defined.
So if anybody has the same issues with the recognition, here some helpful links:

And here a Autohotkey Joystick tester:

Hey. Don't have a warthog yet. Ordering it Friday if my paycheck is big enough. Anyways my question is about reverse throttle. I am currently using a thrustmaster t-flight hotas x. What I like about it is the little indicator at the half way of the throttle which slightly locks the throttle, which is really nice for finding zero throttle and switching from forward to reverse. I understand the warthog doesn't have anything like that (makes sense) so what do you guys recommend or do to give the throttle a clear zero between forward and reverse?
(Program wise not a physical modification)

*also I was thinking about putting the zero about a quarter throttle. Is this possible with target and elite?

In Elite Dangerous you can configure many "Set speed to" key in the configuration. The "Set speed to" keys are from -100% to +100% in 25% steps available. I am using the Warthog throttle FLAPs (left) for +75% forward once I am flying closer to a system, so I don't over shoot. Hope this helps.

I have my throttle set up to 'forward only' and use the button on the mouse-nub on the throttle (where your middle finger rests) as a reverse modifier.

Hi. Hope you can help. Just had a Warthog stick delivered. (Just the stick no throttle)

At the moment I have custom keyboard bindings that I want to keep.
I loaded the ED profile from Thrustmaster. I went into controls and selected Keyboard and mouse as instructed. The Joystick now works as per the ED PDF file from Thrustmaster.
If I try and put a key back to what it was on the keyboard I loose the function on the Joystick. So do I actually need to forget the ED script from Thrustmaster and create my own script?
Hope that makes sense.

Or do I take a copy of the ED config file and edit it. Say for example I do not want the power to engines to be the up arrow on keyboard. Do I click on H1U then click on Key Command and change the key to match my old keyboard bind?

Hey Oogie. Been away for a while with download problems; if you've already figured this out then sorry! I'm pretty sure I used Net-burst's scripts as a baseline for my setup. His posts are on this thread a few pages back. He wrote some scripts for one of the joystick hat switches, Trim Switch I think, so that if you hold direction for a certain # of milliseconds, power would go, say, full weps, 2 ENG. or you could just single-click to go one by one. Net-burst had some other extremely useful scripts in his setup as well. Worth a look.

Hi Keokil, I checked Net-burt's threads and Github page and they are amazing. For my personal issue it worked out well with autohotkey and have now created specifics sets for CQC and some PVP scenarios (depending on the weapon load-out). Reaction time switching ENG/SYS/WEP is around 30ms, so more then sufficient for me. Again thanks for your reply!

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone knows how to program the script in the Target-software for having 1 output on 2 inputs.
So for example when i press 2 buttons i would get "A", when i only press 1 of those buttons i would get B, and not A & B.

Thx

Cheers to all the work on this, would love to grab this script but I get a 404 with the "Target Profile" and "Custom Binds", are these files still being hosted?

Links all restored again!!

If I were a conspiracy theorist I would say that my host is deleting zip files from my web storage. I had some .zips go astray from my vrhive.co.uk site also, so maybe not such a conspiracy. I've moved hosts now, so I shouldn't get this any more. If there are issues then email me directly (mike@tr7v8.com), as I don't get thread updates, even though I'm subscribed, for some reason.
