Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Thanks for your help!
I followed your instructions, but the same error message is still there
- the error message report: cannot find a part of the path H:\ .... see pic
Put the file into the location mentioned in the error, because TCE can't find the file there. The file has to be named AppConfigLocal.xml.
Otherwise activate 'Run as Admin' for the TCE desktop shortcut for a test.
It seems to be that TCE can't create the file itself, because of your security settings of your OS for that drive.

Thanks
The path in the error message is not the same as you mentioned for the path of the AppConfigLocal.xml file ?
For the station i did the option security tab : complete management

A pity that i don't get it working the trade computer extension MK.II
NO !.. i did a automatic recognition of TCE for Elite Dangerous and now it works..looks amazing
Got help with combat and do have a quarter of a billion , so there is no shortage of cash at the moment:)

Hi Eventure. I am back in ED and the TCE after a couple of years away and I have to say many things have changed. One thing that hasn't changed though is you. I don't need help ..... just yet, but I did just want to say thank you for over 6 years of support to the ED community.

Selecting a destination in the TCE updates the clipboard but I have forgotten how to transfer the information on the clipboard onto the galaxy map to give a route.

I am trying to set a manual destination, but nothing I do will change the destination from the one that TCE has decided It wants (it has chosen a destination with no stations and therefore no trade) :-(
I am sure I am doing something wrong, but even after many years the interface is decidedly non-intuitive (at least to me)

TCE will automatically select a destination to the nearest profitable trading station within your selected trading range if no manual destination has been selected and target mode is set to Auto-Destination. Go to the Trade Overview panel to check why TCE is proposing a station to trade (Trading Advisor).

When you select a star system, trading post, or location from TCE's navigation panel, it switches automatically to the Manual Destination mode.
All available modes can be toggled by clicking the button above the Destination display and you can tune the Auto-Destination mode at the Options panel.

I am docked and can choose from 3 destinations (trading range where?) .
I choose : mission destination

Trade overvieuw ; no trade advisor proposal( no trade market at your disposal)
Note: elite dangerous is not started..i started ED ...

Selected trading range -> for the 3 destinations ?

Well, i am at station Hickam Survey .... from there to the most profitable market ( it seems default 50 ly ?)

If you have activated the EDDB-Relay, you will find the Trade Range at the Options panel (Online tab). otherwise in the Navigation panel (red button).
When activating "Mission-Destination", TCE guides you to the star system of your active mission.
Just installed this and the trade route finder does not work .What have i mseed doing
Use EDDB-Relay to have more trading station destinations and routes to choose from.

Thanks, EXTENSIONS=> edbb -relay services seems to be running , but edm status is: server down (red message)
I am in Odyssey , so must check what version edm is needed

It clearly didn't select the nearest profitable station - it selected a system with NO trade ability at all - there are no planets, no stations and at the time no Fleet carriers in the proposed system. I know the intended design is to select the best option, but clearly that doesn't always work.

I tried that - selecting a station from the Navigation panel did not change the selected system. Whether it is user error, a broken install or a bug I don't know, but the system certainly wasn't working the way you described.

Open the Trade Overview panel to check, why that station is selected and what the Trade Advisor is showing.
Do you use EDDB-Relay?

To be more exact: Click the button shown below to set the selected station as your destination

@eventure
I am in a station and want to look around for the best trade deals
Give a flow diagram what to do
First, to understand the functions of the panels of TCE, please refer to the wiki. There is a link to it in the main post. There you will find the explanations for all panels.

Set the "Auto-Destination" mode in TCE to get suggested trades to you. The best way to see the suggested trade with a station in the set trading range is in the trade overview panel. The Trade Advisor lists all the goods you should buy at the docked station to sell at the destination station.

After purchase, set a route to the destination station in-game and TCE will display the closest star system to the destination. The Waypoint panel shows you the necessary jumps and their range from system to system to get an overview.

As soon as you reach the target station, TCE will show you a new trade, which will take you to another station, etc. This method ensures you the highest yields without having to search specifically for profitable routes.

However, you will get the highest returns from two-way routes. To do this, select the "Route Finder" panel. Here you will be shown the best routes based on the stations available in your database. Select appropriate filters for the route search, if necessary. The "Data-Age" filter is very important here, because the older the data in your database is, the more likely it is that the profits shown will deviate from the actual ones. The data should therefore not be too old. A value of 1-3 days would be recommended.

When you have chosen a route, click on Start Trade Route. After that, TCE will switch to route mode and just switch back and forth between the two stations once you arrive, or direct you to the nearest of the two stations to start the route.

There are also some great videos, you can find the links in the main post.

I hope this helps you get started with TCE and see its potential to assist you.

< The best way to see the suggested trade with a station in the set trading range>
The set trading range, seems to me something of importance : where can i set this trading range ?
Example, perhaps a trading range of 100 ly offers more then one of 50 ly ?

Trade market summary panel : where to find ?==> ok under tab navigation

Problem is also the wiki explanation of all panels : there is no oversight where all panels can be found under the menutabs
For example: where is the Cargo panel located on the screen ?..what menutab
It seems to me a hopeless situation for explaining this software
So i can't go further ...
