i dont think anyone was suggesting that they were unable or refusing to play the game because of this issue. So pretty much everyone is doing what they need to do regardless of this problem (who have a carrier). They're just voicing it on the forum because that's what the forum is for. if nobody said anything about things that they feel should be changed because they had the ability to ignore or work around it then the rate of correcting / improving the situation would dramatically fall (in the scenario where those who can make such changes were inclined to make any changes at all). it's important to make the issues that matter to you or impact your day to day playing negatively are voiced frequently or it's liable to never be addressed. even the relatively small ones, because they're more likely to be fixed and many small things actually getting done is far more important to strive for than one or two big things that likely will never get done.
My opinion is also the same value of data point in the dataset that is these forums' posts as everyone else's opinions are.
It goes without saying.
Why are you saying it?
the entire post you are replying to specifically states why i and others are saying what we are saying. the justification is described there.
an opinion that states that the topic isn't important without providing a reason why or an alternative topic that is for a given reason more important and is hindered by this less important topic is not on par with the opinions discussing why this topic is a problem. so no, i haven't seen any evidence that your opinion has similar value since it's a post about not caring and leaving it at that.
True... The same things get asked time & again, it isn't as if this is an original request. But keep on banging the rocks together, maybe next time it will be different. So we can't do anything else to try and improve this game further? FDev always say they value feedback and whatnot. So we provide it. Yes, they manage the game till this day and that'w why it's the perfect reason to ask for adjustments.
Oddly enough, I do go ahead and enjoy it, because I'm not bewailing what the game doesn't have, but instead making use of what it does.If you decided that this game is "good enough" for you then so be it. Go and play it and enjoy it. Just accept the fact that 97,2% of people would like to change one thing or another. Trivial maybe for you, for others it might be important
It is to me.(your opinion isn't the only valid one).
Nor the last, probably, but as it has already been aired quite regularly since the introduction of FCs, it doesn't appear to be spurring them on to action. After all, it wouldn't be the first time FDev changed some things based on player's feedback.
Perhaps it is then? (see belowAnd unless it's an especially sensitive key element that would throw off the whole balance of the game then it can only improve gameplay for others.
I truly hope they do add the ability to feed fuel, and to plot a course, for FCs - if only to wait for the obvious when players, not thinking ahead, send their FC off 22,000 LY, run out of fuel, then have to catch up with it in a ship that only jumps 26 Ly when carrying 750t fuel...Surely, you wouldn't mind if you could transfer tritium without having to involve your own ship each and every time?
This will happen. I hadn't thought of this before but, I agree, it's inevtiable. In fact I'd probably do it myself..

Edit: typos
It is inevitable - I remember just after FCs were introduced that a player here jumped theirs out to some remote, not reachable by any ship, spot in the galaxy, didn't have fuel to return, decomissioned the FC then came to the forum to rant about not being able to get back...This will happen. I hadn't thought of this before but, I agree, it's inevtiable. In fact I'd probably do it myselfCustomer Support on speed dial.
Yeah, we should just be quiet, not give any further feedback to FDev and hope for the best? Well, I didn't know there was a limit on number of threads that can be posted for a particular issue :-/True... The same things get asked time & again, it isn't as if this is an original request. They can voice as may of their opinions as they wish... the same as I might. You do understand the definition of opinion, I assume? And if you don't want other players to voice their opinions or if you think something has been discussed too much then perhaps just stop reading posts that you think are irrelevant? Simple as that.
No, just keep headbutting that wall, it might not hurt at some point - and, as you mentioned, some suggestions (exactly how many, was it?) have been taken aboard.Yeah, we should just be quiet, not give any further feedback to FDev and hope for the best?
Some players. Others can appreciate other points of view and realise that there are valid reasons for things being the way they are. Given that this was asked about at Lavecon I don't know why you think they need telling again. And you can be sure this one will be raised over and over again because it's a stupid illogical feature and players don't want it.
This hardly counts as public knowledge then, to be fair.[...] Given that this was asked about at Lavecon [...]
True - people without an interest in the game or without internet access couldn't watch. This hardly counts as public knowledge then, to be fair.
So anybody who didn't watch every second of this hours long unofficial stream has no interest in the game at all. Come on...True - people without an interest in the game or without internet access couldn't watch.
