ANNOUNCEMENT Tritium Depot Refills

Tritium was very easy to laser mine in Tri2 or Tri3 before the patch.
Overlaps were giving insane RNG, in my 1st Tri2 i found literally ONE rock with no Tri content while I was filling 384 Cargo.
There were plenty of 60+% rocks.
Not true, I have to check logs for actual distribution.

This part is broken after the patch - I have never argued with that.

So I switched to SSD mining and this gets almost 200t/h in a SINGLE Tri HS and over 200t/h in some "exotic" overlaps, like LTD/Tri.
Nobody knows why such overlaps increase hourly rate, but I invite everyone to test it.

So, as they say :

That excuse might have worked five or so major screwups ago, three years or so ago. This is not longer an exceptional case or an unfortunate mistake. FDev screwing up has become the norm, and here they screwed up in a way that renders their last major released feature in years completely inoperable mid-journey, because they changed the universe's rules without warning and everyone who was traveling expecting things to work in a particular manner is now screwed. And their response to this was not to at least disable Tritium requirements for jumps or, at the very least, disable upkeep until they fix things so you're not stuck paying for a stationary lump of metal, but rather to just bestow upon people the ability to be stranded a little bit more to the left.

The sad puppy eye defense wears thin the more you use it. They do this Every. Single. Time. And if you don't raise a stink in time, it just becomes the latest in the marathonic list of bugs and broken features that can't be fixed because they already moved on to some other new screwup.

Amazing.

Isn't the max % 40?

in the bubble it's better to mine something else to buy it at the station

This is inevitable and we should be happy about it.

Because the only option where it won't be optimal way to fill up our FCs anymore, is when Tritium gets 20 times more expensive to buy ;)

I think you are right, I think 60% is absolute maximum and I could not had "plenty" of such rocks.
Maybe one.
It does not change a but the fact, that Tri2 was a "blitzmining".
Actually the only limit was amount of prospectors you could lauch at once, every rock was a hit.

Heh it was fun.
And there is a story with some incredible luck behind it.
I had just filled my FC with Tri and was looking for some target to fly to.
Some CMDR wrote on discord - he got stuck in deep - miscalculated fuel usage.
I decided to do some "fuel rats" style rescue mission.
I was jumping to his location while he was looking for Tri hotspots and mining Tri.
Couldn't find any overlap, although he scanned a lot of systems.
Finally I reached his FC.
We have equalized our Tritium reserves.
Then I decided to explore a bit while our FC had cooldowns between jumps.

And I have found a Tri2 overlap in the FIRST icy ring I have scanned

Unless...

We are just honest morons,

the "issue" is to force FD to give freebies as compensation for bugs in patch,

and everyone we are trying to convince there are workarounds is just cynically playing dumb because of this manipulative game.

Absolutely acceptable as long as you do a legit comparison and don't compare apples with oranges. Next you will complain that your explo-Conda can't jump 500Ly in one go and how it is absolutely unfair and unbalanced. You also can't have an UC and repair/refill service (besides local solutions like the AFMU) on your traditional mining ship. So, if the pace at which FCs can move would be comparable to that of exploration ships, then we really had a problem here.
Its observation is unacceptable ... it costs 5 billion ... much more than an anaconda ... and it is rather an exploration ship and its performance should be much better than an asp or conda .... we pay for it ... in addition to its expensive fuel ... it shouldn't have time to jump or cooldown.

Aren't they ships? doesn't look like an excavator ... is The Gnosis also an excavator? perhaps due to an inefficiency of the FD ... then we call it "Exploration Platform"
Your reasoning is flawed ..... who jumps the most? a conda or an Asp? sometimes the bigger is better ...

So form for function, is it that? Jumping isn't usually the defining function of a spaceship. Their functionality is very close to that of a station and that's what they basically are: mobile stations, no more no less.

But... I want to drop with my FC in Combat Zone and mass kill ships with my super-duper-lasers !!!111

FD, WHY YOU DONT WANT US TO HAVE FUN !!!1111

:ROFLMAO:

why we are in such a tiny minority...

We are not.
"Hyperactive" forum members are per definition non representative subgroup of whole community.
Players who are able to keep playing usually don't waste their time on forums :)
The ones who have problems adapting to gameplay after update, are expressing their anger as forum rants :)

I made an exception, but this will probably not repeat anytime soon.

Because I will be playing ED, instead of writing about it :)

You have more than 10 times as many posts in this thread than anybody else, which consist chiefly of monotonously telling people that it's their fault they didn't expect FDev to break the game in a particular manner they themselves admit is completely their fault and not at all intended gameplay. At the time of posting this, your self-satisfied smug dismissals and mockery make up more than half of this page alone. Who's the hyperactive forum poster here?

I guess you have missed the "I made an exception, but this will probably not repeat anytime soon." part accidentally. :)

You may not know the exact date, but surely you have a timeframe? Is this something where the patch will be implemented as soon as it's ready or will you hold it for the typical patch day? Patch day has come and gone this week, so we look for it next week? No patch next week, so are we looking at another week?

If we had a date, we'd share it with you. As the patch is currently in development, the date is liable to change. When it's not, we'll let you know.

I would agree with this; even a periodic 'Still working on it' every half-past patch day would do wonders.
Communication is a good thing between devs and players as well as playing your own game to see how things currently lie even if it's just placebo at first.

"Nunyuh buh you don't know how to run a game" There's a difference between running a game and interacting with the game's community.
