Fix a rare issue that was not always granting first discovery credit to every stellar body when selling exploration data for certain types of star system

YES and thanks FD. It has been a right pain and not as rare as you say, about 30% of handed in data in my case. :)

Fingers crossed :)

The gall with which people like you demand a 100% automated, perfect system leaves me completely speechless. I don't know where to start.

I'm not demanding anything. Least of all a perfect automated system.

However, some kind of working system that's not entirely developer curated would be a start, don't you think?

Hi everyone,

- Update to friendly fire values. An increase across the board it's now possible, for example, to hit a non-targeted ship with multiple (up to 3) double small pulse laser hits before it turns aggressive

This one is great!!!!

So as far as I understand, this will also be a rule for Authority Vessels?, you can accidentally burst them 'when you are not locckin On them'? Our status is not going to be WANTED for this cross fire accidents anymore Edward?

As a developer, no I'm not asking other developers for 100% automated, perfect system.

But I'd like to know if every time a community goal is finished, are we going to get a patch. If so it means these events will be limited - or if there are lots of them, lots of patches.

The other answer might be that it's just the assets for all future ones being added. In that case, great!

I like that bugs are getting fixed, but this first day this week I had time to play. First I had to download that previous update and almost immediately after that game startted to show these posts about servers going down for update. I'll think that I go for beer instead. If I become an alcoholic, I'll blame you.

I'm one of those who believes that every system the Devs can automate, they should. And every system that cannot be automated, is what they should be working on until they are able to make it automated. Developers can't dedicate 10 years of baby sitting to a project that people are no longer paying for but continue to use. The Devs will move on to other projects, in a couple years, but I'd like to think that if I log into the game the universe will still operate in a meaningful way.

Faction expansion and new station construction is absolutely one of those things that should continue even after the Devs have moved on to other projects. In fact, I'd say that getting this automated should be almost at the top of the list of things the Devs should be working on.

I am guessing /hoping that stations under construction are just floating models like giant asteroids, and that they do not need to be integral parts of a systems makeup (to require updates to move /change). Once they become 'active' and they move then a patch?

Sound good but.

What about

The Asp sound
The sound since 1.1 in general
The random missing icons in the bulletin board
The missing text in the bulletin board titles
The German in bulletin board not English
The French in bulletin board not English

"What about......?"

In the time honoured tradition of the update threads:

Any news on the orca assassination missions which can't be completed?

It is technically possible to have dynamic server driven updates to all clients, in real time. This has been possible in all massively multiplayer persistent games since 1996. It was routinely used on the scale of 16-32 clients (E|D scale) since 1993.

FDEV has CHOSEN not to implement this feature that was demonstrated to be possible ~20 years ago. Chosen not to.
I'm not "demanding" anything that hasn't been demonstrated/proven possible for a very long time.
I expect that FDEV would implement modern gameplay elements with proven features and technology. So far? Nope.

This is a great fix. I've been arguing that turrets that are operated by gunners shoudl not suffer from chaff. It should also apply for the capital ships, and other warships to come.
