Changed system name ‘Bodb Djedi’ to ‘Bodedi’

Was that because at first glance it looks like "Boob Job" , well it did to me and that's what I called it ;)

As a developer, no I'm not asking other developers for 100% automated, perfect system.

But I'd like to know if every time a community goal is finished, are we going to get a patch. If so it means these events will be limited - or if there are lots of them, lots of patches.

The other answer might be that it's just the assets for all future ones being added. In that case, great!
We have a patch every week, that seems good enough to me to bring new stations into the game.

I'm one of those who believes that every system the Devs can automate, they should. And every system that cannot be automated, is what they should be working on until they are able to make it automated. Developers can't dedicate 10 years of baby sitting to a project that people are no longer paying for but continue to use. The Devs will move on to other projects, in a couple years, but I'd like to think that if I log into the game the universe will still operate in a meaningful way.

Faction expansion and new station construction is absolutely one of those things that should continue even after the Devs have moved on to other projects. In fact, I'd say that getting this automated should be almost at the top of the list of things the Devs should be working on.
The people who are responsible for "babysitting" a project are called Game Masters, not developers.

Hey folks, sorry for the noobish question, but I'm new to the awesomeness of Elite Dangerous. How long are the maintenance times generally or are they normally fairly varied?

Pretty fast normally, done usually in 10-20 mins on small patches like this.

The Thursday 7am reboot lasts around 10mins usually.

These patch updates seem to vary a tad but things often appear to be in a state of flux until around 6pm.

Edit: the client Upgrade progress usually takes less than 15mins but in the past there have been server disconnects, empty Bulletin Boards and Galnet news feeds etc, which finally settle down around 6pm.

20-30 mins unless they are running script to allocate the 'rare' unallocated first discovered by flag in which case we could be waiting a while.

You are?
Personally I'd wait 20 minutes until the patch is released, but you go for it.

Sound fixes for the many of us complaining of issues?

Fanboism. You see this with every game out there, immediate cheer leading on patches no matter how good or bad they are.

I'm just hoping that they add team play very soon with the ability to trade items/ships/credits. Once that is done open-play becomes community driven and an economy can come to life.

I'm also hoping (very shortly) for a way to craft items and ships, even colonize an uncolonized system to manufacture commodities. I can tell their focus was to allow people to "branch out" or to give players a relief to endless combat, but to be honest, idly mining or hauling commodities back and forth isn't a relief for most; however it could be a means to an end to manage your own colony. There are also 800 million star systems, and likely four times that in uncolonized planets which means, that even if this game was a blockbuster, every user could own 10 colonies and there would still be vacancies.

Other than that, some balance and tweaks here and there is just about all this game really needs. Though, some lengthy story missions (Instead of kill this guy, deliver this message, or ship cargo from A to B) would be pretty awesome to bring into the game.
