We have a patch every week, that seems good enough to me to bring new stations into the game.As a developer, no I'm not asking other developers for 100% automated, perfect system.
But I'd like to know if every time a community goal is finished, are we going to get a patch. If so it means these events will be limited - or if there are lots of them, lots of patches.
The other answer might be that it's just the assets for all future ones being added. In that case, great!
The people who are responsible for "babysitting" a project are called Game Masters, not developers.I'm one of those who believes that every system the Devs can automate, they should. And every system that cannot be automated, is what they should be working on until they are able to make it automated. Developers can't dedicate 10 years of baby sitting to a project that people are no longer paying for but continue to use. The Devs will move on to other projects, in a couple years, but I'd like to think that if I log into the game the universe will still operate in a meaningful way.
Faction expansion and new station construction is absolutely one of those things that should continue even after the Devs have moved on to other projects. In fact, I'd say that getting this automated should be almost at the top of the list of things the Devs should be working on.
Every time a station is added or changed, they have to patch the game.
Yup, so much for dynamic expansion of factions!

Is this fix retroactive ?

Hey folks, sorry for the noobish question, but I'm new to the awesomeness of Elite Dangerous. How long are the maintenance times generally or are they normally fairly varied?
- Fix issue that was not always issuing fines when ships were scanned whilst carrying prohibited cargo
Thanks!

+1 to this +1. Does that make it +2?+1 is it retroactive/retrospective

Pretty fast normally, done usually in 10-20 mins on small patches like this.
You are?
Personally I'd wait 20 minutes until the patch is released, but you go for it.
