Update 11 Patch Notes

I managed to hire the exact same person six times under different names.

He hasn't shown up for work once yet though. All I see is a bunch of slackers asleep in the corridors and the helm checking their ipad all the time. What working morale.

As a fleet carrier VR player, who played mainly in Horizons, I'd just like to say how impressed I am with Update 11 and corresponding improvements with Odyssey. Much of the annoyances I had with Ody have disappeared. Very well done to all at FDev. You are doing a great job guys! Looking forward to playing mostly in Odyssey now. I never thought I'd ever say that... Well impressed!

Feedback on Update 11:

1. It fixed the nav panel (left) so it doesn't reset to the top of the list when it's closed/look away. Thank you. You probably call that a regression but it's not, it's a fix. Please leave it like that. When routing to a final station destination, that station will be highlighted when you enter its system. Really great as you just look to the left and engage SC assist. It also helps when you're exploring and going down the system bodies list.

2. Anti-aliasing is terrible after U11. It is markedly worse than the bad it was before, and very noticeable when compared to EDH. It might be possible to correct this by deleting and recreating all graphics settings, and I haven't done that yet. Anyone else noticed?

3. Performance has been reduced with this patch. Screen tears a lot more often, it hiccups with momentary skips during high action scenarios, and momentarily glitches on every hyperspace jump. While in SC, the vertical lines on each side meant to give a sense of speed are torn/jagged all the time. Horizons doesn't have this issue, and this effect was less noticeable in Update 10.

Bonus whine: my ship is transparent while sitting on the deck, about to land or take-off. Not a biggie but seems unintended.

All of the above are while on VR.

Looks like the inside of a carrier is a different instance with no connection to the outside of the carrier. I can see ships docking and sitting on the flight deck from the outside. As soon as i am inside the carrier they all disappear.
I have been observing this phenomenon, but it's not exactly like you describe it.

I have been looking through the window for quite a while and no NPCs landed on the FC, so I decided to go back to my ship, and I could see that the activity resumed shortly afterwards. After a number of landing pads lit up, I disembarked again, and went to the bridge: now I could see about 8 ships at various stages of docking on my FC, but no new requests came in.
After the last ship took off, no more requests came through.

My guess is that when disembarked, NPC visitor ships no longer spawn, but the existing ones do not disappear, in fact.

It does not break the game, but it's a bit annoying, considering the potential for the view.

Well, at least, those who have got a Nautilus layout are not missing out!

Piper Copeland hasn't got around to updating her avatar in the messaging system to match the dull new generic NPC appearance she has in the carrier management screen.

2 is terrible in no-VR regular rendering too..
Versus what you had in Update 10? Because I noticed the poorer AA performance as soon as I launched Update 11. Trying to pinpoint if this is an issue in my system or a larger problem introduced with Update 11.
