If you have Xbox and GeForce now and Steam/epic account you can take part on Xbox web browser with the controller from September when the account cloning takes place... (You are then a PC player the cloned account data is yours to use on PC account)
PlayStation's users will need a potato PC to replace the Xbox and run the chrome browser for geforce now for EDH 4.0 narrative...
Hence why they said there will be no spoon-feeding the narrative on the live stream for Aftermath saga because transfer to pc and PC EDH 4.0 is nott released...

It can only be PC. There is no v4.0 client for consoles, nor, according to information already given by Frontier, is there plans for there to be one. Consoles will be getting no further client development beyond 3.8, so will not be participating in further narrative.
Do you own Odyssy? Cus my Horizont didnt got ANY update amd its till in 3.8 ( steam pc) so i have no any clue how you get 4.0 Horizont
Yes, it was from v4.0 (Odyssey) that one of the group was able to launch both original ED and Horizons. 4.0 will be coming to PC Horizons "in the next few weeks" (assume to coincide with console transfers and it is unlikely to be too far wrong)
(I have been playing on the Odyssey expansion pretty much exclusively since launch, only going to Horizons to move my FC on my laptop, permitting me to play one of my other accounts on my desktop)
Maybe the word comunity should be removed from their job titles then? To reduce confusion...
That was my guess. Cus Horizont is still in 3.8 if you not own ODY. Kinda frustrating

I find it touchingly naive when I see people equating what someones job actually is with their job title or the job description.
The o.p. of that statement has a point. The word Community implies everyone, including console players, Wich we know is not the case.

With the time and resource that's already gone into Odyssey, the shift to going to one platform and one version will probably only lessen the impact of all the updates they've had to do, not entirely mitigate it. With update 12 being the last real mainly performance focused update, that's 7 months behind timetable of having a baseline of a working game (plus whatever future performance updates they do which they wouldn't have originally planned for).
With a bunch of Odyssey console stuff likely already worked on that's effectively wasted as well, that's a lot of time to catch up on. Whilst they have said they're busy working on stuff and I don't doubt that, the best we're likely to get is what they originally intended if the Odyssey launch had gone well- just only on PC.
Or worse still the Hive Federation!!!
I still follow the game and have a habit of following the forum as well. The Odyssey was a disappointment in terms of affordability and numbers.
In the midst of Cross play, recent news is that Odyssey and Horizon won't even be able to play together. I've seen many times some console CMDs ask about the future and will get the answer from Geforce now or transfer to PC.
I'm happy with the transfer, but it's the least they do, and in the case of Geforce (which from what I've tested is a bad experience) it's not Fdev's credit.
However, does anyone have any doubts that this will also be a disappointment? There will be a large number of profile copies that Frontier will proudly extol, but active players will be few
And that for several reasons...
I know the CEO has changed but Elite needs to have news often as the news comes with numerous hidden bad news resulting in poor communication that only brings disbelief about the future. Only then do I believe that the Elite will grow again, along with Fdev.
Is there any chance that in Horizons 4.0 we will ever land on atmospheric planets?
Doubt it, that's odyssey content.
Maybe one day they'll roll odyssey into the base game like they did with horizons.
