In my experience what kills a console is already hidden inside, waiting for the warranty to expire.I don’t like static near my consoles, that kind of discharge is deadly.

The Proteus Wave is calibrated incorrectly and instead of destroying all Thargoids in the Galaxy, it destroys all canyons
Not exactly, I had no problem with Horizons, 60fps steady. I tried Odyssey and it was slow motion. I think it was after p12.This is true of many decent games, im stuck in a field for the best part of 3 weeks, we just have to live with it, not Fdevs fault

Well, after playing the game for 5 years, I think I've earned the right to choose when to be lazy, my friend. When you're searching for bio sites in Odyssey, you can find forests of crystaline shards like in horizons POI. You just can't be lazy.
I've played Odyssey since it was released. Just the other day I got stuck on the surface of a planet on foot - I logged out and when I logged back in my SRV had gone awol.Is upgrading to 4.0 mandatory or can Horizons players stay with 3.8? Asking because the "updated graphics", especially the planetary rendering, is ugly.
Peeeerfooormaaance. Its called progress, we are moving forward, Horizons is history.
Never been back to Horizons since ODE release and no idea why i would want to

I think from reading it everybody moves to Odyssey graphics just the access to certain bits depends on your access pass.I'm properly confused now. In effect does this mean 3.8 is old Horizons but is the 'last' update for that branch, while going forwards 4.0 is the 'new' branch and will get all the new stuff?
Will 3.8 therefore be Horizons graphics, C+P rules etc, or will that change?
I'd quite honestly forgotten about that one! ThanksY'know you can see these yourself by running the Character Map app that comes with Windows? You can also copy/paste symbols from there.
Are they shown in the Locations tab like Biological (1), etc?The shard sites are in EDO if that's what you mean?
It literally takes me around an hour to farm each top grade Raw, no real drama.

Only U13 will tell...next week, er I mean soonsorry, but the end of the azimuth saga? It's not the end of the Thatgoids, is it?
Yes they are, but on my last trip out the heatmap was useless as it just covered the entire body in blue...Are they shown in the Locations tab like Biological (1), etc?
IIRC, Horizons 4.0 is just "Odyssey Lite", so if your friend's computer can't run Odyssey, don't expect it to run Horizons 4.0 any better. The obvious exception is that if the only area you suffer performance hits is the on-foot stuff, Horizons 4.0 players won't have to worry about this because it will be locked to them (though I suspect they can drive an SRV in an Odyssey settlement on a non-atmospheric world). Please, does this mean we can FINALLY PLAY WITH OUR FRIENDS WHO CANT AFFORD A GOOD COMPUTER TO PLAY ODYSSEE?!
Question: what's the scope of "narrative" here?
Obviously anything requiring new assets, on-foot content, significant code development, etc. is going to be restricted to 4.0, all perfectly clear.
But what about things like Community Goals, Galnet Articles, etc. which have tended to form a significant part of the narrative? Will those still be available to 3.8 PC (and by extension, console players who haven't/can't transfer) where they don't intrinsically require 4.0?
The Daddy Savlon weapon is only going to work in the bubble and its highly unlikely they would remove a core part of the game any time in the futuresorry, but the end of the azimuth saga? It's not the end of the Thatgoids, is it?
