Due to it, that Fdev suddenly stopped supporting VR players (and I know, that VR needs some fixes, to make better experience on Elite)
The original Elite galaxies were quite small
Let all just say its fair to say fdev don't care
They are all probably sat at there computer and laughing at each and everyone of us coz we all care more about the game than they do
On the other hand one could also note that FDev has given us a legacy server instead of just pulling out the rug! How many online games do that..
These won't. No. And I'll definitely will not transfer to pc.I suppose if they've already quit, then they won't be rushed into transferring their accounts during the next 6 days

apparently Horizons 3.8 and EDO 4.0
4.0 was released in September - to who?

where is my 4.0 ?
How were we supposed to tell if it sucks or not? just assume it is EDO??
is 4.0 just odyssey without foot content?
is my 3.8 the same as consoles 3.8 ?
so my 3.8 also gets turned into legacy and no Horizons 4.0 but I have EDO 4.0 - or does a new item get added to the launcher ?
pretty odd that such an important announcement leave out details.....main reason I see this thread growing like a wildfire.
if I never bought odyssey then my Horizons would have been upgraded to 4.0?
or would I have to have bought 4.0 ?

horizons - my 3.8 is the horizons I enjoy

4.0 EDO
both horizons 4.0's and edo 4.0 have the same graphic issues, fps issue, video card melting capability?
horizons 4.0 = ODY without foot content = same bad video, etc....
that's the whole reason I stay in Horizons.
so, no solution, unless all that is good in horizons 3.8 is brought into 4.0 which is a NOT
so that means for me

no more bounty hunting, great the only thing I really enjoy. I support Anarchy which is impossible in EDO
no more ship building because well, face it, I have over 900 ships, anyone want to find one in odyssey?
not to mention the miserable outfitting
not to mention ship building requires materials for engineers and material collecting of every kind in EDO is a waste of time.

some of my assumptions are based on NOT HAVING Horizons 4.0, so I am guessing from reading that it is as bad as Odyssey because it is Odyssey.

Could you clarify what happens to fleet carriers? If I have a fleet Carrier at the time of the split in both live and legacy my Carrier keeps costing 25m a week but in live I keep make money and topping up the carrier bank while in legacy I slowly go bankrupt and the carrier is repossessed? Or do they remain consistent across live and legacy while BGS, powerplant etc do not? That seems tricky to reconcile especially when BGS can effect e.g. security level of a carrier and the contents of the carrier impacts markets.
Unlikely, it's just after midnight in the UK.
So what happens if we no longer wish to play on legacy what happens to the credits/ARXs? is there a way to have those transferred to over to the live version be used as well?

like driving a Kawasaki Vulcan 1900, then traded for a Honda 50

I was on one last nite, every speck was alive and a hit point.... wth is that? why? I want to stop melting video cards please!!
only way out was reboot, relog into horizons

Nah, they don't care that much. More like "how do we shut this thing down and move on without it looking like we want to shut down and move on?"
