Zac, there is one thing I don't understand.

On 31st May, you wrote in this thread https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/257892-NPC-AI-Engineers-and-Bi-Weave-shields: (which was applauded by many forum readers):

The first change is that we will be removing almost all Engineers upgrades from the NPCs in game.

No in the 2.1.03 patch notes it says:

- Reduced the number of engineer mods on AI ships substantially, now only Deadly & Elite rank ships are guaranteed to have mods and any below Master are guaranteed to have none

These two seem to contradict each other. What happened?
If I read the patch notes correctly, if I want to rank up from Deadly I need to fight NPCs that are guaranteed to have mods. That can't be intended.

All this concentration on the rank of NPCs interdicting you is somewhat missing the point. No one, PC or NPC should really interdict you unless they have a good reason. You have a bounty: fire away. You are carrying significant cargo in a relatively unarmed trader: look out. But they ought to scan you first. Getting attacked for absolutely no sensible reason when you are in an exploration ship with no cargo gets very wearing.

But, well, we have had that discussion lots of times, and it is clear FD have no intention of doing anything about it. Indeed, they encourage attack for no reason from PCs.

Well they have to interdict you to SEE if you have cargo... however, if you don't, or are just carrying common they should fire a few warning shots and leave.

Thank you for addressing some of the issues with AI and definitely turrets. Turrets might actually be viable now and require another test run. But we still have no fixes for instancing yet?

I agree, the lack of logic tied to NPC actions is upsetting,
having them magically know everything about you without so much as using ingame methods
and scanning is annoying and a continuous trend.

Exactly!

Yeah I agree. If we're getting interdicted, there should be at least a reason for it. I realize elite is dangerous and all, but there are sure a lot of cold blooded mindless killers tromping around the galaxy without a care in the world. It breaks immersion.

Does this mean my SRV will finally fit under my ASP? I stopped taking it out as it was time consuming to try and get it back under the damn thing.

Still getting 'client too old' after update.

Login screen now says 'issues detected' and that they're working on it.... at least it's nice to know they've spotted it isn't working right, when it says server status 'All hunky dory, everything is totally spiffing' and it's actually broken I always start to worry about how long the fix is going to take when thjey haven't noticed it's borked yet....

Anyone else having a problem with their auto docking computer now following this patch?

Both my Cutter and Corvette get close to the landing pad now then move off to the right hand side of pad, only docking after I take back manual control to move back to correct position. No problem with auto docking prior to this patch.
