I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Greeting Devs

I have got my best friend into elite, I took him to ceos and Sothis and there has been nothing but trouble even with the new update. Before the update on the day before we found a cargo mission for 22 mill I have been working on transporting my corvette to ceos were my friend has been doing fed rank. So we have been working on the mission for a long time and we have played until the update became live on Xbox with the update it brought problems. We were able to be in a wing before the update now we can be next to each other and can't be in a wing. This update took valuable time from us for our mission. Can you reimbursed us. The 22 mill or at least my friend. If you need to contact me my email is (email address removed by moderator)

Please submit a support ticket to Frontier for such issues. This thread really isn't the place to get direct assistance.

I am alway drinking and piloting. Probably the reason for the lack of credits. I just crash all the time. ;)

Baaa ha ha ha ha ha ha. Looks like you know nothing. I think if I sold all my ships and modules I would have about 180million credits which isn't much for over three years of playing. I have never used an exploit for credits since I started or any of the silly gold rushes. It would ruin the game for me.

Try again. Please don't make stuff up about me, jump to conclusions or make assumptions. Nothing Elitist about it, it's just the way I prefer to play.

I think you need to re-read my post.

i dont know why, but im having trouble beliving you mate (minus the drinking part), i highly doubt you'd be pro no cash, no one is pro no cash, the illogicity of it is laughable

I think, at a certain point, payouts were just fine, they were just buried beneath Allied Reputation. Not sure where they are at right now because I haven't been playing but I'll probably find out more today. There have always been some were blips with the BGS too that seem to interfere with some missions appearing at all, yesterday I logged in to a mission board that really wasn't populated very well even with Allied and the pays weren't anything to write home about either. What I mean, is that there always seems to be some variables floating around that dramatically affect what is generated and it seems to be very hard to narrow down, aside from something like system states anyway since those can completely over ride what would normally happen. I wish I knew what they were because it's always very annoying to spend time getting rep with a faction only to have the options and pays actually shrink or not grow at all, meanwhile the other factions that aren't anywhere near controlling the systems have a lot of low paying chores. I imagine it could be bug reported system by system, but the galaxy is so big, how could they fix it all, if it even needs fixing.

So.. anyone figured out yet what these "additional minor optimizations and fixes" are that are so vaguely referred to are?

Probably server side stuff, bgs, mission generation, maybe stuff that isn't so much about the game but how the servers scale or match make you to make it feel a little more smooth, avoiding crashes or other hiccups. Stuff that just might be technical and wouldn't be worth mentioning the specifics of to us.

I am not a pro no cash. I am pro not too much cash. It's how I like to play. I like things challanging, not a walk in the park. I like to have consquences in the game. One of the reasons why i didn't want instant ship transfer.

It's consquences and having to plan things which actually makes things fun for me in the game. Remove those and the game will get boring for me really fast due to the lack of engaging and interesting game mechanics (hoping some of this will change in the Q4 update). Trading has had a nice boost to the tools which helps a bit.

But I would like to see a more interesing BGS and econonmy system though.

Im one of the most hardcore players on xbox one right now as it stands, I have a ton of major players tagged in the game and I am on more than they are. Right now as it stands , I will give fdev a month to decide to get realistic with the credit grind scheme to make it to where we are being paid what our time is worth , because as of right now due to the prices on various repairs and shipping dirty modules and so on , it is nearly impossible to keep your head above floating water to have a pvp based account. If they don't change anything within a months time to relax on the credit earning when it comes to passenger missions , our sourcing I will put the game down , and be a once a month player at best.

Bobbleheads now vibrate with 0.00029% more intensity.

funny thing is, i wouldn't doubt it

so basically a "not enough gameplay so self rules make it bearable stance" that I can understand extremely well. after all, super wide kiddie pools do get boring quite quickly. o7

That's the funny thing. Flying space ships while drunk... it's a seriously noticeable difference (to be sober, that is). I most definitely crash into things (especially the grid outside the coriolis), hard landings, and so on. Don't drink and fly cmdrs. Just saying. :D

I have goals in the game, and they are not that.

There are gold rushed. You need to look at the system and faction state. But it's better to use the commodity markets and direct trading for that, it can be very lucrative if done right (and can be more profitable then missions). Think of missions as contracts not as trading. But yeah the BGS could do with a bit of an update.

Certain missions are not going to be lucrative depending on risk. Combat missions may look like they do not as pay much, but you also need to add the bounty and combat bonds to that which I assume FDev do with the balancing of the missions.

I do not know what the correct balance is, it is a very subjective thing. Personally I prefer payouts to make some sense regarding state of the economy, my reputation with them etc. Most of the time these days I find the missions pay way too much and I am looking for lower paying missions, now for me, if prices have been "fixed" (in my opinion), thats great as it will offer me more variety of mission .

Obviously FDev thought they paid too much then what they intended for a reason. It was a mistake/bug/flaw. Whatever you want to call it. Therefore it is not a nerf, but a fix for something that they think is wrong.

You really have little to no knowledge about this game and you've been playing for more than 3 years.

Nerf Hammer Update Inconsistencies.

I love how FDev says they are nerfing the current "Gold rush" mission meta because its killing their"Rat shat Economy".

When all that's going to do is force the angry player base to go hunt for a better payout on another set of quests / gold rush scheme.

All FDev is doing is killing the economy further instead of fixing it. Increase rewards for other quests to make them viable forms of making money instead of having players put yet another mission type on their nerf hammer blacklist.

I finally understand where you're coming from. What you need is a "perma death" mode in Elite. :) A seriously hard mode where you fight for survival every second. I love playing that in No Man's Sky occasionally, just because it's harder and you know you can't screw up. Every small achievement seems large and amazing. There's something to this. When things come too easy, we don't value them as much.

When is the last time the game actually challenged you though? One of my biggest issues with the game has been road blocks for the sake of road blocks, not challenge. Maybe it's too individual to address, but before Thargoids, the hardest times I ever had were honing my skills to take down Elite Anacondas in a solo Viper back in 1.0 and the initial implementation of engineered NPCs. Other than that the game has been pretty breezy over the years, only slowing me down but not particularly engaging my skill levels, just my patience. I suppose being patient can be considered a challenge itself, but beating challenges is something I consider rewarding, yet having my patience engaged is more likely to lead to boredom and burn out. This bit isn't particularly about credits, because like I said, the gains there are better than they ever were, even with the bgs blips. Just curious on where you are challenged specifically.
