Update 9.01 - Patch Notes

Its not like I'm asking for them to fix something they are investigating, just clarity on what we should expect would be a nice start.
Yeah, their track record on clarity is not the best. They did tell us that when they have an answer they'll let us know....so there's that.

Guys for anyone reading this who still has problems, please respond directly to Zach's message with bullet points of what's wrong so that when he looks and checks his pings some of what we write here can actually be useful, us moaning to each other will accomplish nothing. Let's yet again help them fix their own game.

cmdr StevieG has already written quite clearly several times what answers we want to get, it's not very difficult to write in the patch note. We want to get our fire groups from patch 8, or write to us that we have lost everything, recreate it. This is what appears to be Horizons. Sorry for my English, I am not a native speaker.

Would it be an idea for the mods to police these threads and remove any posts that aren't bug reports or related discussion?

I can't help to think that this is a very inefficient way to communicate with the CMs and devs.. There are whole forums for lamentations, incriminations, and tantrum throwing..
Probably easier just to skip over it. Besides, bug reports are supposed to go to the issue tracker so they know what the top bugs are. If they're trying to isolate everything from forum posts then whew...

Well, as the hands on the clock grind around to 5pm, another working day finishes, and again no feedback from FDev staff on the diagnosis or repair of the significant issues introduced in Update 9 and not fixed in 9.01. It's not unreasonable I think that some kind of regular statement would be made just to keep us updated.
Again, Zac said yesterday in their livestream that they were furiously working on 9.02 and hoped to have it out asap, and would share more news when they have it. Presumably that hasn't changed in the less than 24 hours since it was said.

At the moment, the CMs seem to have gone into sulking mode for the time being.
COULD be that they're also sick of incessant pings, insults, demands, and abuse too though. And (hopefully) have more pressing things to do than reply to something that was already addressed this week for the 324,454,657th time.

Guys, I will rise here another question, definitely related with this failed patch and "hot fix" :

Yesterday I raced from Colonia to the bubble, now I am going back ( Annie with 80 yl jump = 2,5 h ) - and I noticed something new !

Usually, each 30-40 jumps in Neutron route, we need to stop and repair our FSD.

But NOW we get damages NOT ONLY to FSD but, overall, to ALL MODULES of the ship ! ( shields, thrusters, nav comp, cargo hatch, etc ).

This is happening AGAIN, as I wrote this post.

Do you think this is supposed to be a hidden nerf to our travel trough Neutron Route, or is just (another) bug ?

I agree but stream watchers and forum posters are not always overlapping. So a quick blurb to say the same thing here could help to slow the flow of hyperventilation. But yes, they have acknowledged the issues and indicated they are trying to get a 9.02 out ASAP. That's as good as it's going to get, and when update 10 hits we're going to do this all over so stop being surprised by it. The game engine isn't getting rewritten.

When a CM like Zach asks people to ping them over issues I have no qualms whatsoever in doing so.
That's one thing, talking more about the pings the likes of Sally gets for every minute thing. And lets not forget this thread also has had Arf had to come out and draw a line under one person's attitude towards the CM team, which followed on from earlier in the year having to issue a statement about personal insults, threats, and harassment from people both on here and social media.

You know its an issue, Piggers, don't pretend like its not. (Just like nobody's pretending the game isn't crocked and in need of serious fixing).

I have seen like 2 messages out of thousands that have crossed the line, not unusual and I don't need to tell anyone off.. i'm not their mum.
I’ll take a wild stab in the dark that the crossing the line messages have been deleted and unless you cache every single forum post it’s unlikely you see every reply or post someone makes.

I'm not pretending anything. It's a very well behaved forum. Any and all dissent that crosses the line gets dealt with and that is very few and far between. You should frequent some other forums where people say what they really feel...actually maybe you shouldn't for your own piece of mind! Anyway mods sort all that stuff, we don't have to, and if you go around telling eveyone off, the ones that were going to do it anyway won't listen to you and the ones that weren't will think you're having a go at them unneccesarily. Just my 2 cents.

Okay, pretend like its not it is, then.
So what? Is this somehow "our" fault that a few cross a line? What am I supposed to do about it?

It's very convenient to always focus on the bad examples and put them in the spotlight to somehow discredit all valid criticism as well.

Abuse is obviously not okay. But what's also not okay if for a company to knowingly sell a completely broken product that half a year later is still far from being fixed. Ask console players.
