In tense scenes Utopian forces today established a quarantine zone in the plague system of Peregrina with the aim to study a mysterious pathogen on one of its moons, Undine.
Aboard the Talos 2 outpost orbiting the plague world, scientists are now beginning to examine the disease and its possible links to the technological plague that is sweeping across human space.

Using a long range communications array to maintain quarantine, lead scientist Aia Vogel explained the mission:

"Humanity faces an unknown disease that is slowly affecting our technology. We know very little about it, so we must investigate any lead that could help us. Our base here gives us an ideal opportunity for researching the infection on Undine as well as any links to the unidentified alien artefacts around Merope."

Crom Silver Boys are also present in the Alpha Chamaelontis system (which is still run by the Pi Mensae Brotherhood)
.
Pi Mensae Brotherhood is also present in Mazahuanses.
.
edit - Defence Party of Nastrond no longer has a presence in the Taribes system.
I suspect this is because it offers so many Fed donation missions.

Hi there, Swift!

I'm able to land on Europa. (Outpost Haberland survey I'm standing right now) No weird permit messages appeared. The moon seems unlandable though. Not all planets can be land upon.

So is it currently impossible to get the Terra Mater permit? I can't find any stations controlled by Brotherhood of Terra Mater...

Hecate system, station called RJH1972 has the Brotherhood of Terra Mater present, though it no longer controls the station. You can still get the permit there. Unfortunately, you will have to earn it through missions. Since they don't control the station, exploration data won't help.

Thanks! I'm back from a 3 month exploration trip and want to get permits with the data I have... Well, no Terra Mater for me then.

Yes, this. It's possible to get the permit but Brotherhood of Terra Mater does not control a station.

That's a real shame since Taribes had a good haz res site where you could bounty hunt your way to allied status. It's how I got my permit to that particular system.

Just spend a few hours doing missions or trading at one of their stations or bounty hunting. Better to get the permit and not need it, then to need it and not have it. You never know when it will eventually break, or get locked out like Isinor.

Was that bounty hunting missions, or just bounty hunting and handing in bounties?
.
I think TBoN has dissapeared from Taribes because it didn't hand out as many missions compared to the Federation factions at the station. Taribes seems to be nearly as good as Tun for Fed charity, so players may have overdone these.

Can't get permit to Pi Mensae. I'm Allied with Pi Mensae Brotherhood, tried relogging in Alpha Chamaelontis and Walgan for an hour but with no results.

That's weird - I definitely get the permit required message. Have done a bit of reading around on the forum and seems others have been able to land on Callisto and Ganymede also, which makes me wonder if the "permit" is linked to federation rank? I'm at Chief Petty Officer rank, which maybe isn't high enough to land on Jupiter's moons. What is your fed rank?

Wondering how Facece system will be handled now, recently taken over in the news by independant faction, possibly player made faction but unsure.

Didnt get my Empire ranks high enough to unlock that system, but i'm assuming it will still be tied to the empire rank structure, for now , i hope.

Just bounty vouchers. I think ~2.5 Mio are enough to become friendly, ~5 Mio for allied.

Phekda permit is no longer needed due to most recent patch notes:
That's interessting. Does that mean the Phekda permit was removed permenantly and can no longer be obtained?
Can someone who was granted this permit check if it is still listed in his permits list or was it removed there too?

Quite sur it is still granted via Imperial Rank.

Well, I can't because the server is still listed as "upgrading" for me. But when it's live I can.

Annoys me like hell. This has been the hardest permit to obtain of them all.

I wonder if we were to help the Phekda society to expand back into Phekda and then get them back in control, if the permit requirement would come back.

That's good to know. So there are three ways f getting a permit: grind missions, when you can get them; sell exploration data; and hunt bounties.
Does trading increase reputation with controlling factions at all? It would be nice if it did, though I would expect any effect to be slow. Not that I trade much - other than rares or mining. But it would give a slow and steady, as well as profitable, way of getting a permit if it worked.
.
I'm goint to try the bountyhunting method tonight. I'm glad I left the FDL parked near Crom, so it's not too far from the Pi Mensae rep systems.

Ooooo, this is significant news. Can someone who hasn't obtained the permit confirm they can still get there?

I'm thinking this is grounds for removing the entry.

Just handing in bounties in general.

If it's linked to a rank, then it should definitely show up as a permit in your permit list.

I may actually bring this up as a question if I get face time with a dev at pax south.
