Victims of Piracy Support Group

Yeah I figured.
Since I joined this nice discussion, you had not a single argument or point and your need to insult me makes that even more obvious.
Thank you, you're saving me some time.

This sort of thread should be used to catalogue the locations and frequency of prate attacks so you can look for patterns, and ways to avoid them.

In a few weeks (RL work is shed loads of hours at me at the moment) I'll be providing my services as a trader escort, and will provide security (and if I'm rubbish at least some escape time) for a reasonable fee based on a percentage of the tonnage transported. That's if we ever get player cash transactions in game - If not I'll do it on a few tones of cargo as payment. (Percentage based again.)

Brian :)

So far all you have done is whinge about players who refuse to play the way you would like them to so that you enjoy yourself at their expense, calling them cowards and other choice words and demanding that they play in solo.

I don't care what you do, just stop trying to whine and insult others into doing what you want them to.

Or, you know, don't. Far be it from me to discourage someone from whining on a game forum, that's basically what it's for...

Player cash transactions could be fun. I would be able to charge $500,000 as the toll fee for ASPs who want to live up to several million for larger ships. Muwhahahaaahaha

Although I think that Player transactions should only work for people who are on your friends list and have been there for a week or a few days or something.

Brian ;)

What about the 5% escort bonus you get, when the trader sells his stuff?
Anyways, bring something to read. Escort is dull and eventless unless you fly into some pirate contested space.

We could come to an agreement.
.
You find the punters willing to pay decent sums and I'll turn up as the pirate to add encouragement and make sure they keep using you. We split the fee from our little protection racket 50/50?

Indeed. You get a dividend of each cmdrs sales when flying in wings.

So, I've been here reading these forums for a day or two now - since the Mac beta date was announced (my windblows 8 SSD drive with the alpha/beta install on is burried somewhere!) - and I am looking forward to my Pirate encounters.

But don't think I'll be dumping cargo and running for my life all the time. I'll make you work for it, you scallywags! :)

You might want to read my posts again... or at least start to understand them.

But your position is nonsensical. Even if you want to punish the pirate, you punish yourself more. I don't want to sound like the stereotypical teacher, but it really is your own time you are wasting, since the Pirate has got the most enjoyable part of the process out of the way (Nobody pirates only for money). Also, you are missing on social interaction too, some of the people The Code robbed are our longest serving members.

If you want to cut your nose off to spite your face, feel free. Don't be surprised if people shake their head and chuckle at you doing it.

Hahaha you guys robbed some of your own members? I would love to hear how that went down :D ....did they take it with a grain of salt? In full character? Or just happy about it and played along?

I did read your posts and responded. Anyone who doesn't do as you say is a "tryhard" (your own words). You kill them but it's their own fault for not doing what you say (again, your words). What more is there to understand? Safe flying.

You read them, yes. But you still don't understand them for whatever reason. Its not that I'm speaking Mandarin...

Anyone who doesn't do as you say is a "tryhard" (your own words).
Quote me where I said exactly that, come on.

I never said anything like it.
Actually, I said traders who only have their profit in mind and combat log as soon as they are getting interdicted are tryhards.
And I am curious to see how this statement is 'wrong'.
Enlighten me.

You kill them but it's their own fault for not doing what you say (again, your words).
Exactly.
If someone holds a gun to your face and tells you to do what he asks, or you will die... it is your fault if you pick the latter option.

It's called survival of the fittest.

actions have consequences, if the person with power makes a demand you have to face the fact things might go badly for refusing, want to reverse that situation? Fly something different, take command yourself, just ignoring demands without a decent plan is a lesson in consequences, sometimes you might escape successfully, others your gonna get boomboom'd its probably up to you which to choose.

The gazelle being hunted by the lion runs away unless its stupid enough to stick around. Then it gets eaten.
.
The lion isn't to blame as he only does what lions do. He eats meat not grass. Gazelles, know your place in the food chain and whatever you do don't try to take the lion on!

This comparison is kinda limping...

Pirates don't intercept their prey to kill it - but to get the cargo.
The Gazelle is following the logically best choice and only chance of survival.
The traders however do the opposite...
