Yes I like realism as well if you look at the rest of my wishlist, but to me realism means anything that would be able to happen in real life like a lizard doesn’t have to just sit in a cage. Realism should not be defined by what other people have done in real life or what zoos do as that does not mean the be all and end all of realism.
I just think Planet Zoo needs to maintain Zoo realism and not add features which aren't used in zoos or for people who have those animals as a pet.
I know some species of tarantula are burrowers and spend their entire life on just 1-2 square meters (male during the season tend to wander a bit more). In a terrarium/vivarium you will able to see them, in a normal enclosure you'll basically have an empty enclosure..
A former colleague used have a Bearded Dragon as pet, which requires special lamps. Proper lighting and temparature are very important. Same goes for the high humidity requirements for them. I'm guessing the same apllies to (green) Iguanuas. They are actually really sensitive. In a Vivarium/terrarium you can regulate this.
I understand the whole 'normal enclosure' point but to me it doesn't make any sense. I'm pretty sure you upset a lot of pet owners/zoo keepers, when you add such a feature. IRL, that would mean a death sentence for some animals.
More creativity with a vivarium, yes... I'd love to see that.
