Vivarium animals able to go in normal exhibit or leave vivarium

Obviously 100s of little frogs will be tedious to look after but if place in a aviary type enclosure I think it would be pretty cool also imagine having a king cobra in your zoo but have to have it trapped in a little box not being able to appreciate it frontier already have came out and said that vivarium animals are not just part of the exhibit they are in fact a singular being. Meaning that it would be easy to make them able to get out they vivarium also it has apparently been confirmed they can break out sooooo

We should be able to have our snakes, spiders, small and big lizards in normal exhibits with obvious anomalies because they are to small etc. I would love to have a family of cobras, rattle snakes, bush vipers, monitor lizards, or lizards in a smaller yet normal exhibit and I believe FD can do it! Imaging having a 100% size gene albino king cobra in the centre of your zoo not in a little box but in a normal exhibit where it belongs... well it belongs in the wild but you know what I mean. It would be a great addition to this already amazing game.

And If animals such as the Brazilian wandering spider is allowed in the enclosure it will climb on the rock and will attack anything it sees as prey and even your other animals killing them if untreated because of its venom. Although spiders will be the hardest out of all of the vivarium animals to integrate into the game because of there climbing I think it would still be possible and great to see them out of that tint little box

Do you agree?
If so or if not let me know your opinion...

I haven't played the Beta, but I've been watching the videos. I don't like the idea of ready made glass cases. I would rather make my own. Reptile houses with large glass exhibits like the one in the beginning of Harry Potter would be amazing. Not to mention growing our own families of snakes, spiders, frogs, ect. One seems so lonely.

I don't think IRL this happens.. Doesn't make much sense to me, never seen this in a zoo...

Snakes/spiders have small terrariums when you keep them as a pet, smaller than ingame, when in captivity. And they really thrive in those...

It does happens in some zoos with big tropical domes (Zürich, Leipzig). There are free roaming lizards and frogs living there.

Unless it's dangerous for visitors it's ok to keep them like that and it's great experience for people when they try to look for them.

I think we are all disappointed with the size of the exhibits and lack of customization more than anything. The zoo in my area has houses for reptiles and insects. The reptile house has large glass windows containing the snakes. Reminds me of large fish tanks. The insect house has many smaller exhibits like what we currently have in the game. Creative players always want to do everything piece by piece and these objects take that away. Let us build our own glass tanks. Please. :D

I agree, with customization of those vivariums.. Nothing special to me/doesn't stand out, atm. It doesn't really have purpose in my zoo.

I focused a bit too much on the snakes/spiders.. I've been to zoos as well, with a dome and some (friendly) animals. Our local zoo used to have a stunning butterfly garden with some small monkeys in the same dome. And Apenheul (I live in the Netherlands) is a very open 'zoo/park', where you can get really close with some monkeys and some other small animals. They actually warn you to put your wallet/small stuff in a safe spot..

For spiders/snakes it doesn't seem logical... Btw, Dangerous animals are in really secure habitats.
Most zoos have the insects/rodents/lizards in glass tanks in a reptile house etc., and I think that PZ should go with the majority..

Yes but you have missed the point, this is a game would you rather have something to look at in a glass box or a enclosure you can make look amazing with proper camera functions so you can watch over them. Plus they would thrive better in a more naturally sized exhibit maybe with other animals with them just in the back like your entitled to your opinion I just believe me and many others disagree with you

Yes they are in secure exhibits but do you not believe that the same type of exhibit lions are kept in isn’t stronger then a little glass box??
And just because you do not have a use for these things does not mean you have to detest the idea many people love reptiles either way it just gives the game another pocket of fun and bro this isn’t me arguing with you just listen and answer what would you rather a small glass decoration or a beautiful natural looking enclosure with a king cobra in the centre because although this is a game and not irl it is still meant for enjoyment...

I believe we should be able to put these animals in secure exhibits where they can thrive in a open area like normal animals especially venomous snakes, lizards etc. Just like the Nile monitor and the smaller lizards and frogs should also be able to be in the enclosures with restrictions like necessary roofs, picture a wooden enclosure with a glass window and a wooden roof but instead of it being a tiny box inside it is customisable. Like your own little rainforest guests can view fro a safe distance and spot the frogs/small lizards with no size barriers the game should be of endless possibility. And the venomous snakes and snakes should be like the Nile monitor able to roam free at will in a big enclosure.

Haha, I understand you... I'm one of those players, who has a focus on realism when it comes to sim/tycoon like games. And when a games promotes realism, I expect a game to live up to that (or at least try).

To give a better understanding what i'd like to see, is a reptile house and the tools to make that small glass decoration my own. I've seen a friend's terrarium with his Tarantula. I want to be creative in a small terrarium/habitat/glass tank, as this T would require. I know that's most likely not going to happen, as this would require an additional in-depth feature in the game.

Aside from the customization aspect, Seeing some of these in such a small exhibit seems so wrong. Real life or game. Snakes, at least, need a bit more room than a small glass tank. From what I've seen these exhibits seem the least realistic. I'm not a snake person. The only animal that frightens me to be honest. Yet, here I am asking to give them more space. LOL.

I'm watching a video featuring terrariums and a quick, possibly easy fix popped into my head. Hopefully I can explain it right. Size options. 2, 3, and 4 times the size in length only. That would give us the ability to create those houses with large exhibits that take up the entire wall. Doesn't do anything for customizing the habitats, but it would be better than what I'm seeing right now.

Googled a bit, this is a Rattle Snake terrarium used in a Nature Centre.

I've seen a lot of pics of smaller terrariums

That's what I normally see in people's homes. Wow. Can't believe a zoo would use something so small. For the game, I would like a full wall so I can see the huge snakes stretched out once in a while.

And a few from a Reptile zoo, I picked this one for the Boa Constrictor:

And this one is from a Zoo for a Tentacled Snake

I think this is more what players are wanting. The curves and designs of the terrariums. I personally love the second. It's made up of smaller tanks. Some of the exhibits are really too big for some animals and some are too small. That's why we need a few more options.

Agreed, the second one looks very nice.

When it comes to such terrariums, i'm fully aboard. I don't like the idea of adding such animals to a normal enclosure.

I'm curious. I'm only able to watch vids at the moment. How are the terrarium animals fed? Do they have to be fed by the keepers or are they magically getting nourishment from thin air?

I would argue it would be nicer if we at least had different sizes of exhibits to choose from and style, so it feels more unique.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the exhibit animals don't move around in their exhibit, right? In which case it would probably be too late to put in this feature if they hadn't planned on having the animal models move, because that would be more rigging, more animating, and potentially more modelling if the original animals weren't modelled with animation in mind. It would be too much work for an animal you'd never see let's be honest. I can barely find them in the small enclosure they're in as it is
