What about the "normal players"?

you know discussions about Denuvo are not alowed right?

moderator, feel free to delete this post if you see necessary.
also, on today's stream the mods said we need to go to the forums about this issue. so we are allowed to have this discussion here :)

(also: this is NOT about piracy, i mean, me and my friends bougth the game and de dlc's :D and we will buy the upcomming dlc's, but it is about lakking of performance buy denuvo)

Why aren't Discussions about it allowed?
I don't even know what it is
it is an anti piracy thing, makes it harder to crack a game (i totally understand why they use such a thing), but the thing it that denuvo makes the performance so much worse cause of all the checks every second, that is 1 of the reasons this game is running so terrible, even on mega high end pc's, and that makes it impossible to build "the zoo of your dreams", since there is no pc that can run a full zoo with animals and guests that doesn't lagg massively (if it is even possible to build a full without dropping to 2 fps)

I can understand why People don't like it very much. The Game lagged absolutely horrible when I built the Paths in my Elephant-House

That is ridiculous. The game has a small market appeal due to content and pricing.

This is my 3rd and last Frontier game, I did also buy PC for a friend, so technically 4 games + many DLC. This launch has been nothing but a mess.each and every update comes with issues. I have lost interest in playing the game.

It took over an month and me venting my frustration in non official discord to get a login issue with the issue tracker resolved. Funny thing is no one bothered to check in with me after it was fixed. Staff were just happy to ignore or randomly close my ticket. Funny thing is this was all so I had the ability to log some more bug reports.

This game is early access, I have been involved in plenty of EA games and to charge full price to be unpaid Alpha/Beta testers leaves a rather bitter taste in the mouth.

I agree: even with a pc with the recommended specs or above, you can't even build a working zoo on less then half the map, without huge lagg and almost no fps

OK people can we knock off the Denuvo chat please and get back on to topic. The game uses DRM to protect it and Frontier are not going to change that. As others have mentioned there have been some improvements already in performance through patches, and the team will continue to work to improve the game.

If I have to edit any more posts because of some of the language used in them, then you will be taking a break from the thread. Thanks

Sounds like it is time to leave a steam review since the devs don't want to listen to the paying customers. Not smart to try to censor the customers.

If you post a negative review based on what Strawberry said, just go ahead.. Really nobody cares, except for that group that's not going to pay anyway..
People are able to filter "bad" negative reviews, same with people who give a negative review because the DLC isn't free or too expensive..

I wish there was an option for "display guests" limit to 2000, instead of total number of guests. So there could be 6k Guests, but only 2k displayed in the park to help with framerate and not ruin the economy of the zoo.

I Agree, mentioned the same a while ago.. I don't know anything about developing/programming a game, so don't know if that's even possible at this stage..
When people with a really high-end PC are struggling to get a decent FPS in a big zoo, i can't even imagine how this will run on a pc with the recommended specs.
But there's a slow progress after a couple of updates, I hope the next big update (like we had in december) will give a significant boost to performance.

I'm posting a negative review due to the month it took to get a ticket resolved, with staff closing the ticket when it wasn't even resolved. hell it took me venting on a 3rd party discord to actually get someone the escalate and fix it. Now we get threatened with bans if we even dare mention a certain DRM. If your happy living in a dictatorship them think everything is lollypops and sunshine. But that doesn't get things fixed.

Hey guys I can understand some of the frustration but I’m used to the lag that comes with a big zoo. In zt2 especially when the mod craze hit if you had to many animals and scenery items it would cause lag or even crash. I haven’t had to many problems on sandbox with a big zoo and 2500-4000 guests. 400 animals and 8500 guests plus staff I wouldn’t do that to my poor pc. I use plenty of animals but I keep numbers realistic from what you’d see in regular zoos. Heck I don’t even play franchise till tonight and I’ve released 13 elephants so I’m pretty proud of myself for that. I’ve played every zoo game there is and this is by far the best period. It’s not even close.

So you posted a negative game review on Steam, because you have an issue with the online issue tracker (a personal non-game issue?).

DRM topics/discussions are always closed on forums. They always lead to negative reactions and mostly started by people (who solely create an account for this) who are frustrated at the game not being cracked yet. Every single developer with a forum will step in.

This isn't a free country, it's an internet forum. Free speech does not apply here, ergo what people can and can't say is at the discretion of whoever is running it.

While that is correct it doesn't address the point. Sure, moderation has the legal right to enforce the rules set by Frontier, but that is no argument against disagreeing with a specific rule on ethical or other grounds. The legal situation is in a different category and completely irrelevant for both the original complaint and the complaint against the rule keeping Ashen from speaking about it here. At best it tells them to indeed use a different platform to voice this complaint in order to avoid repercussions here which was already the plan.
Sorry about the excursion. Let's call it a pet peeve of sorts. :geek:

Games need to be protected from theft and a publisher has every right to do so. This is highly irrelevant and not a subject of debate. Move on, you're acting like a child haha.
