what are the best mods for Manticore Executioner

The tilte says it all....
I currently have: increased magazine size
I am planning to have at least 1 slot for scope

But I am curiously what mods I should consider and which I do not want
Very troubling that you can not remove a mod in a slot.

Depends on how you use it.

Quick reload is pretty useless on most weapons, only 20% faster apparently, although the Exe is pretty slow.

Stowed reload is good if you switch weapons for more than 5 secs at a time.

If you use it at any range then stability makes a lot of sense. On the same note greater range.

The hip fire accuracy is fun close range, but scoping is quick enough and fast hands seems unnecessary, to me, for something that takes time to line up a shot with.

Magazine size - 5 shots before reload.
Scope - aiming at distance is charm
Audio masking - for outdoor silence(still locked by non existing drop of smear campaign plans)
For last slot I am considering Stowed reload or faster reload.

That's exactly my plan too...
Stowed reloading for my last Slot

This will pair nicely with a Tormentor with: Range, Stability, Silence and either Stowed or Hip Fire

Tormentor is very accurate from hip. I strongly recommend noise suppressor for indoor use.
Stability is useless for non-automatic weapons. It reduces recoil but with the Tormentor the time between shots is more than enough for manual adjustment.

I'd be interested to hear of anyone's thoughts on the Audio Masking - if anyone has unlocked it yet.

POST EDIT - just read latest posts, still locked behind Smear Campaigns :(

Down to Earth Astronomy found an Executioner with Audio Masking in Pioneer Supplies and, in a livestream where he was raiding a Tourism Settlement for Opinion Polls, used it to great effect to take out patrolling guards one at a time without alerting the other guards.

Awesome - thanks. I did a TONNE of searching and only came across a handful of Executioners - so finding one with Audio Masking must be really difficult. Glad to hear that it's effective though, I really need that mod since stealth is my favourite tactic over run 'n gun (the fact it's locked behind that last engineer is just plain mean)...

Do you have any screenshots of the scope on the Executioner?

I found an executioner with audio masking and have taken it to grade 5. It makes settlement clearing at ANY threat level trivial.

Fast handling is amazing. I strongly recommend it for the exe due to aiming a lot. The difference is wide.

Still, all this is preference. Sadly, there's no way to try these without lucking out on premium weapons or burning mats up.

That’s interesting, I’ve only tried it on pistols and SMGs, noticed a difference but not enough when aiming to consider it for the executioner.

Would you mind explaining how this works in-game, please? What's the difference with and without? Another one I don't understand is when people say 'firing from the hip'.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, check my gallery on Inara.

Scope and no scope screenshots by just swapping weapon.
That's quite an impressive difference

The two modes of aiming are hip and ads (aiming down sights).

Hip is firing without aiming, ads is when aiming.

Faster handling reduces the time it takes to switch to and from the weapon (so increases stow speed as well as equip speed). It also reduces the time it takes to aim, so it moves up to ads mode faster.

Hip accuracy refers to the spread of the shots when fired without aiming. Try holding fire with an automatic weapon and you'll see the spread causes most shots to randomly fire away from dead centre. The mod reduces that spread, making this mode of firing more accurate. You can see the weapon spread by the (horribly coloured) brackets around the cross hair. They're miserably designed to blend into the background because FDev thought it was sensible for optics to be camouflaged... But you can just about make them out.

Thanks for explaining!

Looks like I'll be adding Fast Handling then. Sadly, Audio Masking will be a LONG way off for me - I still only have 4 Opinion Polls and I don't relog, preferring to play a more organic style of game. Plus there's the unlock requirements for Yarden Bond which I am sure won't be easy, either... (Wish FD would tell so I can start saving!)
