Must be the new software upgrade,Can't post pics ATM?
Wow! That chairWent mining. Needed to replenish materials I'd used up for synthesis, recoup costs of FC upkeep from the past few weeks and generally add to the coffers of greed.
I've also - finally - got all systems running in my new cockpit. I'd struggled with cabling lengths and screen positioning but it fees comfy now:

I think you’d at least have to glance at the FSS signal readout to see if anything interesting is there.I tried F-u-b-a-r earlier but the anti-whatever software deleted it. I do have a question for you salty veterans, we've all heard the lore about the thousands of megaships that have been sent out and pretty much disappeared. Say I enter an unexplored system with a single star with a couple of asteroid fields and my ship say "System scan complete" after honking it, meaning there's nothing more.
In such a case I would swing away from the star to move around it, line up with my next jump vector and spin up the frame shift drive and leave the system. But what if there was a megaship in one of those asteroid fields, how would I have known it was there without using the FSS scanner? Would something like "Human signal detected" pop up on my canopy because I honked the system?
That's what I was thinking also, it's no wonder more of these ships haven't been discovered.I think you’d at least have to glance at the FSS signal readout to see if anything interesting is there.
The megaships with jump drives or their remains should be in some system or another and so findable eventually.I tried F-u-b-a-r earlier but the anti-whatever software deleted it. They use the same forum software that I use on my site: Xenforo.Must be the new software upgrade,
I noticed that some members avatars are missing when they made a post thinking that their switching hosts or being migrated to different drives as the current ones might be reaching their MTBF. I know those hosting companies go through a lot of drives. Anyway, pure speculation at best. They use the same forum software that I use on my site: Xenforo.
It's not a software update that did it. The last Xenforo update took place a couple months ago. They intentionally set it that way. They probably just don't like the amount of space the images are taking up and the size it's making the database because they're clueless on how to use the built in pruning feature to mitigate that.
They simply set a limit on the size. If they're too big, they're gone. You can set limits for everything: amount of text, avatar size and type, attachment size and type, video...What's going on with some members avatars? I noticed there messed up and missing, still can't post pictures either.

Take a video of it if you can, I'm still 20,000Ly away which is how I like it at this point. I'd like to see one of those Farragut Class battlecruisers go up against a Thargoid swarm or maybe see Salvations weapon in action.Thargoids are attacking in large numbers, apparently. I've never been much interested in Thargoid combat.
"Boss Fights," where you have to learn the complex patterns of the boss in order to defeat it, are not something I have enjoyed in any game. But there are a lot of people who do like that sort of thing, witness Elden Ring, for example.
Are any of you guys into this? I'm just watching it all unfold from the sidelines.

I said something about it in a different section and Sally said they were aware of the problem. They simply set a limit on the size. If they're too big, they're gone. You can set limits for everything: amount of text, avatar size and type, attachment size and type, video...
Anything you can think of you can limit. It's clear that's what they've done. It's what the software is designed to do.
The only other thing that can make images/avatars "disappear" is if they restored a database that was not recently saved. Example: they save the database to get ready for the move, then somebody changes their avatar, then they make the move, then restore the saved database. That would make the avatar vanish because it would be looking for an older image that no longer exists.I said something about it in a different section and Sally said they were aware of the problem.
There used to be limit of 1MB on the size. I wonder if they changed it? I can't upload even small images, now, though. I just tried a 68k one, no go.They simply set a limit on the size.
They may well have simply turned off uploads altogether. That's why you can link things but not attach them. There used to be limit of 1MB on the size. I wonder if they changed it? I can't upload even small images, now, though. I just tried a 68k one, no go.
Seems so. I was able to link in images in my last post, just before your post, via Imgur, like we did in the old days when pics could not be uploaded here. Maybe we're returning to that. They may well have simply turned off uploads altogether. That's why you can link things but not attach them.
