Can be fun, too, if in the right place. This definitely was one of those. Amazing.Taking a break from racing and learning how to fly slowly.
Just what I needed right now...ASMR video, ED version!

Tremendous scenery and flight.
I cheat and have these on my exploration ships. It's quite hard not to hit the efficiency target with these:These skills can be helpful in everyday exploring, as well... It is a fascinating technique, that's for sure.
It's a bummer that the Elite Team of FDev doesn't have enough manpower to implement some placeable props and a simple waypoint system...
I can relate. Didn't do it often enough to be able to get the efficiency bonus every time... It's still a little inconsistent - one time, I managed to get the 100% with only 3 probes, another time 8 were barely enough to get the job done.
I have got to get me one of those.I cheat and have these on my exploration ships. It's quite hard not to hit the efficiency target with these:
Engineered Detailed Surface Scanner V1
A pre-Engineered Detailed Surface Scanner with two Expanded Probe Scanning Radius modifications called "Engineered Detailed Surface Scanner V1" can be purchased at Human Technology Brokers. Unlike unlocking most other Technology Broker items, which makes them permanently available for purchase with credits at station outfitting services, unlocking the Engineered Detailed Surface Scanner V1 immediately places one module in local storage at no additional cost. The module must also be unlocked repeatedly in order to obtain multiple copies. Applying any other Engineering modifications to this module will remove the bonus second modification.
Unlocking requires the following Materials:
- 24 Niobium
- 28 Mechanical Components
- 22 Germanium
- 26 Mechanical Scrap
Me too... Apparently, there is more interesting stuff to be found at these brokers than I thought.I have got to get me one of those.
And you can shoot it in the SRV or on foot...You target it and shoot it and it'll split into materials you can scoop up.
Thanks to the holobroadcaster YouTube, I already was aware of that. Spent quite some time there, doing that. You target it and shoot it and it'll split into materials you can scoop up.
Well, my feet are bound to the SRV, so...And you can shoot it in the SRV or on foot...
Yes-ish. But you still can't visit Odyssey-only locations (like any on-foor activities, or atmospheric planets).Odd. I though EDH had updated to v4 already.View attachment 326300
I just re-logged in to Oddy and was in a concourse, but I had a bunch of missions I'd completed last night saying Contract Failed and a message saying a shuttle had been booked. I don't think I was drunk last night!Yes-ish. But you still can't visit Odyssey-only locations (like any on-foor activities, or atmospheric planets).
Odyssey and Horizons v4.0 are not the same thing.I just re-logged in to Oddy and was in a concourse, but I had a bunch of missions I'd completed last night saying Contract Failed and a message saying a shuttle had been booked. I don't think I was drunk last night!

20 missions max, not sure if that's 20 each ground & space or 20 combined total....
Also, isn't there a limit to on-foot missions you can accept in one go?
This was quite useful in the early days:I can relate. Didn't do it often enough to be able to get the efficiency bonus every time... It's still a little inconsistent - one time, I managed to get the 100% with only 3 probes, another time 8 were barely enough to get the job done.
