Still...very odd for a system of that caliber.
Here's another odd one. This is the sight that greeted me on the way back to the hangar lifts from my ship:
It was the same exiting the lifts and going back to my ship. You can just run through that black wall.

Hot spots, anyone?
How many were notspots?
I don't know what that means.
Ones where none of the named mineral can be found with even an unreasonable amount of searching.
No clue. Just mapped it and moved on. I'll check it later.
The outer icy ring that has the vast majority of the hotspots are all Tritium, Low Temp Diamonds and Void Opals. The inner ring is Monazite and Alexandrite.

And I had really forgotten how much I like flying the Asp Explorer. It is by far the best view in the game - a nearly uninterrupted panoramic view out of the cockpit...and a good looking ship too!

Anyone tried out the AX weapons you can buy in Mbooni yet?
I'm busy getting both my commanders allied with Azimouth Biotech to get access to them. The odds of AX combat inside the bubble seem high and I always want at least one of my commanders in the bubble and as prepared as possible for it.

I went through a phase of disliking the Asp X, mainly due to the thruster noise. I'm convinced FDev made the thruster sounds a lot more subtle during the period of time between Quain getting a Phantom and me starting up a second commander account that uses an ASP X.
I run them on my Challenger. I like them. Much easier to work with than the Gauss cannons.
I'm almost 11,000 LY from Sol now and after much route changing due stars running out, I've finally found my way out of the Inner Orion Spur and am now in Temple, where I was hoping to find some different exobiology. Maybe some wibbly-wobbly things or something. 
So far though all I've got are some Concha (albeit a different species to any I've had before.)
Other than that, so far the only things indicated have been boring old Tussock and Bacterium, nether of which I've managed to actually find yet, either on this planet or the one I was on before. Usually I've been knee-deep in Tussocks back in Inner Orion Spur, but no joy at all here yet. This planet seems to be as barren as it looks...

Nope, Betelgeuse doesn't have a companion star.
But why the in game one has mass of only 0.26 solar masses, when it should be at least 15?

Just a red giant next to a K class.
But this red giant, next to Betelgeuse, would appear very small (about twice the size of the K class in my screenshot)
I saw a setup a lot like that at 75 Tauri A & B. Probably the only one in the 4 billion systems right..? riiiiight
